  • Full of info and not dumbed down
This is a great book that is interesting to read. It’s full of very useful information that gets to the nitty gritty of computer science. It’s not dumbed down and requires the readers full attention. I read this book every chance I get, even on my time off. Great book for building a foundation on understanding how a computer works. ... show more

  • Good book but very detailed
I am an adjunct professor and this book is assigned reading for the operating systems class I teach. I have some people taking the course as an elective and the deeper areas of the book are a struggle for those students. I ended up pulling out the key areas of each chapter and teaching to those rather than getting into the heavy details. ... show more
