Description

When a massive, mysterious structure suddenly rises from the ground, the government sends a team to investigate. You have been selected to join an elite group of underground explorers know as “Undernauts” employed by the Cassandra Company. Unfortunately, you are not the only one searching the caverns. Terrifying monsters lurk in the shadows. Others hunt for resources. Large numbers of people are missing. Dangerous criminals with mysterious powers are out to thwart your efforts and eliminate your team. The ultimate test for survival is found in the labyrinth. Can you be victorious and rise above the shadows?

A solid, challenging, excellent dungeon crawling JRPG by Experience Inc. if you've been following these Devs for awhile, you should have a sense of what you're getting into. If you're new to them, expect a challenging experience akin to dungeon RPGs of the late 90s/early 2000s, but with some of the quality of life improvements we've become accustomed to with modern titles. Good degree of customisability with each character build, with the forgiving option of being able to reset the build if you feel like you've messed something up. Excellent audio and visuals combine to create a great ambience. Highly recommended. Fun fact: this title connects to a number of other Experience Inc dungeon RPGs (e.g. Demon Gaze, Stranger of Sword City, etc.), so there's a lot of lore hidden for those who know where to look. ... show more

This my first drpg and I'm so glad i took a chance. This is a horror drpg where you explore a dungeon, fight creatures, manage your inventory and manage your team. I fell in love with the character art mainly and the horror element intrigued me. Its creepy but because its turn based you never have to worry about jump scares or anything. The graphics of the dungeon aren't amazing. It looks very outdated but it actually really grew on me as I kept playing. Also the music is very generic. I personally don't care about graphics or music but am noting them for those who might. The game runs totally fine on the switch. I've had no issues. There are a ton of character choices and a lot of loot to sort through and equip. There's also several job options as well as sub classes you can choose. So far the story is also very interesting but I haven't beaten the game yet. ... show more

Another great DRPG by the studio who brought us Death Mark & Stranger Of Sword City. Undernauts is a great blend of 1st Person Horror JRPG dungeon crawling done right. Experience Co, took what they've learned from making Death Mark & NG.
