The way they are made, the pockets lie complete flat against the body and are not the least bit visible. Second, the fabric is lightweight and not scratchy or crunchy like some shorts. My waist measures 29", and my hips 36". According to the size chart, I would wear a M. I ordered the M and it was not pretty. The waist of the M sat nearly to my natural waist, and there was muffin top. I am pretty fit and trim, so muffin top was a surprise. I decided to try a L. The L fits comfortably below my belly button, at the top of my hips. They do not look baggy or over-sized, and they are definitely not in danger of falling down. These are my new favorite shorts, and I've ordered them in L in a few colors. One reviewer commented that these are great athletic or leisure shorts for mature women because they provide reasonable coverage, but are still very cute. Honestly I wear mine when working at home in the summer and when working out! They're great for lounging around the house or running errands. They ride up a bit and the pockets don't hold much, but are super comfortable. I have 5 pairs!

These are as I expected. Fit true to size (125 5’3 sz S). I got the black / peach color and they are so cute, so soft and stretchy but still comfortable for working out. I only wish they sat an inch higher on the waist, they would be SO cute if you could wear them a big higher on your waist and fold the waistband. Just got my new shorts and I love them. They are true to size (I am 5'3", 110 lbs and got XS and they fit perfectly), very light and soft. They are short but long enough to comfortably cover everything that needs to be covered. The pockets are big enough to fit a cell phone, but not bulky. I originally ordered a 3X because I noticed most items in Amazon need to size up. In this case, the short were huge. I went down to a 1X. This could be a plus sizing issue so keep that in mind. This product fits as expected. Very comfortable but WOW, the colors are BRIGHT! I mean, I may only wear them for working out at home because I may blind someone with my shorts. I love having cheerful, cute workout clothes but when I say they are bright…oh boy!
