Like many of the other reviews state, these shorts do run large. When I first laid eyes on them I thought for sure they were going to be too big but the fit was perfect. I purchased a size large and I normally wear a size 12 pants. The waist has a drawstring which allowed me to swim in these without fear that the shorts would somehow slip off. One of the great things about these shorts is that the drawstring is actually on the inside of the waistband. I definitely prefer this over a visible drawstring. The inside has a mesh lining which was great because I used these to swim. I normally HATE wearing a bathing suit but my two young kids were getting swim lessons and I had a feeling I'd have to get in the pool with them. These shorts allowed me to stay a bit more covered up than a regular bathing suit would have. (I paired them with a loose fitting tankini top and it was very cute.) They are extremely lightweight and breathable. I didn't have to wring out any water when I stepped out of the pool because they didn't absorb much at all. I purchased a black pair and had no issues with them being see through. If you're planning on using these to swim I would not recommend purchasing a light color since the fabric is so thin and lightweight. I swam in these three days straight and each night hung them over my shower curtain rod to dry. Drying time was super fast... even faster when I pointed a fan on them. The overall quality of these shorts is fantastic, which is what I've come to expect from Under Armour. The material is comfy and airy. I'm not an athlete but I could certainly see these being used as running or soccer shorts. I washed these in warm water and dried with all my other clothes at a regular temperature. They came out looking just as good as they did going in. No shrinkage at all. Most definitely worth the price. Highly recommend.

Overall quality is great! They’re very comfortable but I won’t be wearing them out the house, they’re too short in my opinion to go out to public places. It does have the liner on the inside as shown in the picture. Don’t get in white only because it’s super see through in my opinion.

I recently gave birth and am trying to get back into shape, but living in South Florida means dealing with unbearable heat, so shorts are a must! I typically have heavier-set upper thighs and don't like shorts that are too tight or too short. These shorts are perfect—they have just the right width and length for me to feel comfortable and cute when I'm out for my walks. The material is breathable, which is a huge plus in the hot weather, and they don't ride up or feel restrictive. I feel confident and comfortable in them, which is so important as I'm easing back into my fitness routine. I will definitely be purchasing these in additional colors. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfortable and stylish shorts that are great for exercise and everyday wear!

I tried these on locally and loved how they fit me. They were so cheap on Amazon that I almost bought more colors right away, but I'm glad I didn't. They look good, but the fabric doesn't stretch at all. I don't even think the mesh sides stretch. It pulls across my quads when I walk - not enough to roll up, but enough for me to notice. When I sit, they roll up a little instead of stretching. They weren't as terrible for running as I thought they'd be, but I don't think the fabric stretches OR breathes well. They just felt kind of thick and heavy. Meh. My daughter wears the same size but is an inch or two taller. They were a little shorter on her and didn't really get 'stuck' on her the same way. I may just be too short. They are a little long in the front, which is probably why I liked the look on me, but the functionality isn't there. They fit my daughter differently, but they're not her favorite either. For $14 on Amazon, okay. They look good and are fine for casual wear. For $25 from UA, pass.
