I’m an athlete with wide hips and big thighs, and I have a hard time finding cute shorts that don’t ride up the crotch while running. So let me tell you - I LOVE these shorts!!! I wore these shorts in a marathon and for the entire 26.2 miles not once did these shorts ride up. They are also very light and airy without acting like a wind sail and adding bulk to your figure. And I love the wide waistband, too. I’m totally buying more of these shorts. I can see why there are so many high ratings. I love these for running and even just to go out to run errands. They’re really cute, super comfortable and come in lots of great colors. I have the navy, red and bright pink and they are all fantastic! They’ve held up well so far and the price was fantastic!

I like that I got this Under Armour women's running shorts on "sale" for just under $12. I bought it for playing pickleball and it was fine. One thing I don't like is that the waist is a little too loose, even after I tighten the strings, and it's not because my hips are way larger than my waist, I almost feel like they're made for someone with a waist and hips that are almost straight up and down if you look from the front, as in not a woman's shape. I also don't like that the waist is a tiny bit low for my taste, but not their fault, as the picture shows it's not a high waist shorts. I am just under 5 feet tall, 110 pounds, and ordered a size small. The next shorts I buy, I think I may try one of those that I've seen with the really wide, higher waistband; I've seen those go on sale for just under $20. But for the sale price of less than $12, I'm not complaining about these UnderArmour running shorts. Also, the attached underwear feels fine, it does not feel too tight. I ordered these last summer in black and also white. I wore them so often I began looking for other colors. When I came across the charcoal gray, I ordered them for myself for Mother’s Day. They fit perfectly and exactly the same was a the black and white pair. They are longer in the inseam and come up a little higher on the side of your thigh. Color is exactly as pictured and the fabric is cool and moisture wicking. I would recommend in EVERY color. I did size up in all three of my pairs, but I prefer a baggier fit in shorts. These shorts are a bit small. I am a thicker girl, working on losing weight. I also have Physical therapy for my knee where they ask me to wear shorts. I bought these wanting something but more feminine to wear and not so big a baggy. These are simply too small for my 5’8, 242lbs frame. I ordered 2XL (they didn’t have an 3xl) and they are too tight around my thighs and way too short. I will wear these around the house but definitely not out in public.
