I use these snowshoes for biathlon racing. They are extremely lightweight. The crampons work good. The bindings work but are not “idiot” proof. You must tighten the laces before tightening the heel strap or your toe will be too far forward. I went about seven miles in them and after I learned how to set up the bindings they were maintenance free. I ran in them, walked, went up and down steep grades and they worked well. I would recommend these for packed trails but probably not for deep, unpacked snow.

I use full size snow shoes nearly every winter for hiking in the snow. The idea of having snow shoes that I could run in was an idea I had never thought of. There is no snow in my area yet so I had to test these without. I'll come back and add impressions once I get a chance to run in the snow. These snow shoes are light, about 15 ounces for each shoe. And they are much smaller than my regular snow shoes. They are very natural to walk in. The binding is amazing. It's so easy to put the shoes on and take them off. I was a little worried that the binding wouldn't hold my foot securely but that wasn't a problem. The binding cord is stiff, that is not stretchy at all and it cinches up very tight. The heel strap is easy to tighten and release as well. Once my shoe was in the binding it felt very secure. The snow shoe felt like an extension of my running shoe. These shoes are small. I imagine they will work great on a packed trail or loose snow of a few inches deep. I suspect these would not work well in deep snow unless you are a very light person. But, for those of us who really want to be able to run in the snow during the winter these shoes are just amazing.

This is my first pair of snowshoes, so my review is from a novice perspective. First off, this set of snowshoes is definitely lightweight. They’re really only about 14 ounces each, which is fantastic! Who wants a bunch of extra weight when walking in the snow, which can already be difficult? Not me. It was super easy to get my boots in the shoes due to the “ultralight and secure speed binding”. The binding on the top and the back was easy to loosen and enabled me to easily slip in my boot and then tighten both sections up again for a secure fit. Walking in the snow can still be difficult, but these definitely made it easier and more enjoyable to get some outdoor exercise in the snowy winter.

These things are cool. They are so light I was shocked. Our old shoes were so heavy and made it hard to take them along on trips. These however are a good size, they are light and yet quality. I read that they will hold up to 180 pounds so they aren't children's snow shoes. We have a couple of other sets so we're hoping the whole family can go out together. I hope there won't be a fight for these because they are so light and easy to use. Now we're just waiting for the snow to start!

These snowshoes are well made yet still really lightweight. I have a larger pair and they are great for breaking a trail in new heavy snow. After a trail has been cut these really shine. You can move quickly and barely notice your even wearing snowshoes. If you want to winter jog or just move quickly on the trail I would highly recommend
