  • Took on my Camino in Sept/Oct
Color: Claret Red
Great quality, kept me reliably warm in often not well insulated albergues, and wasn’t too heavy. The main problem was that it took up some space in my 36L backpack but in the grand scheme of things it was pretty small.

  • Good, Fair-Weather Bag. Packs Very Small. Washable. 71"x28", Not 75"x30". Inexpensive. VG Value.
Color: Orange
I purchased a few of these when they were on an "Overstock" sale. It was priced at $14.49 (50% discount from $28.99) plus an additional 10% discount ($1.45) making it $13.04. Yes, $13.04. What a deal! My first recommendation is to check it before the 30-day return/replacement period. I bought it during the holiday period when Amazon gave us an extended window until 01-31-2024 for items purchased in November and December of 2023. The first one I opened had an issue with the bottom zipper; the one at the foot box. It just would not budge. I tried unzipping it every which way, short of using pliers to grab the tab and forcing it open. I wasn't about to risk tearing the fabric or damaging/tearing/breaking the zipper chain, tape, and/or hardware. I returned it for a replacement. The second one also had a problem with the zipper. This time, it was the top/main zipper. It did (un)zip, but it was stiff---too much resistance and drag. This zipper required much more force than the other bags. It required the use of both hands: one on the zipper pull and the other on the zipper tape to open or close. Second return for a replacement. BAM! It's batting 0 for 2, 0.00 average. Am I unlucky or am I UNLUCKY... The next one I checked is problem-free. So was the next, and the next, then WHAMMO... The last one (yes, I bought 6, for me and others) had another zipper issue. The zipper tab for the top/main zipper had broken off. Plus, the left side and right side of the zipper tape was misaligned and offset. This needs to be replaced, too. 3 out of 6 have defects and need replacements... QC/QA has a LOT of room for improvement. So, other than the above issues--yeah, don't pay no nevermind to that GIANT pimple on the tip of your schnoz---how is the sleeping bag...? Actually, it's pretty good. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's light in weight and lightweight. Light in weight in that it only weighs @ 1.5 lbs. Lightweight in that it's a fair-weather sleeping bag. I haven't used it yet on a camping trip since it's winter. It's obvious that this bag will NOT handle the cold well. I believe that the factory rating of 59° F is reasonable as the lower limit. 55° F is probably the limit for men with a light, add-on layer of clothing. For women, however, since women sleep "colder," I'd guess that 60°F is the limit, even with light layering. (I just returned from camping where the nighttime low was in the low-40s. I definitely wouldn't have gotten much sleep in this bag.) The outer shell is soft nylon, and, being nylon, it does have the slick, slippery texture, but it's not "sticky." The inside lining is 100% polyester; it is very soft. It's like the new, new-fangled fabric that is common today in sportswear. It's not as slick as the outer shell, but still has a bit of a slippery texture. I'm very particular. I can't stand fabrics that aren't really soft with mostly nature-made material (cotton, cotton/poly blend, bamboo, silk, etc., EXCEPT itchy wool). I guess I would say that it's 'skin friendly' to 95% of you, but to me, it's straddling the fence. It's still a bit "slickpery" or "slipckery," not truly cotton-like. The insulation material feels like a mat, a continuous sheet, not a bunch of loose "100% silk-like cotton" balls that would clump/bunch together and shift to a different zip code when the bag is washed. The zipper slider has the tendency of snagging the liner, so use care. Slow and easy is the approach. * To reduce the likelihood of snags, do this. To UNzip, pinch the fabric or zipper tape, just above the closed zipper, with one hand, then, with the other hand, pull the zipper slider down while pulling it up and away from you---like making a mountain peak with the slider---while maintaining tension between your pinch hand and the zipper slider. When closing, do the converse. Grab below the closed zipper, then pull up, out, and away with the other hand while maintaining tension between the two. If you're inside the sleeping bag, you need to reach outside to open/close the zipper, as described above. The zipper pulls are likely cheap, brittle 'pig iron.' (Nowadays, MOST pulls are "cast" metal.) Expect them to break off. It's almost a guarantee. Just a matter of how soon, especially when they're banging against the steel tub of your washer or dryer. The problem that I described earlier on one of the new bags proves my point. Although it's advertised as being 75" x 30". It's more like 71" x 28". The manufacturer and/or seller should spec the bag to match the advertised dimensions or correct the description. Without much difficulty, it does fit back into the stuff sack. Start by folding it in half, lengthwise. Next, fold in 1/4 of the length from each end toward the center, so the ends meet in the middle. Then roll from one end as you squeeze out air. Pull the sack over one end of the bag, push in the bag, squeeze, stuff, then cinch down the straps to compact it. If you do it right, you'll get it down to just about the same size that it was before you removed it when new. At $13.04, even with my bad luck, I can't complain much. It was a GREAT value and well worth the price. Even at its current price of $20.87 ($23.19 minus a 10% discount of $2.32), it's a good value. Plus, you can pick any color. The "Overstock" sale was limited to the orange bags. BTW, I washed two of the good ones to see how they would handle it. They did well. No bunching/clumping of the filler material thanks to the 'one-piece' mat/sheet insulation. Let me point out that I washed them in a front-loader. Cold/cold "Jeans" cycle that uses more water with a tumble at medium speed. Tumble dried in "Extra Low" to avoid cooking the fabric. Dry one side for about 10 to 15 minutes, fluff it, then turn inside out and dry for another 10 to 15. Doesn't take much to dry, but to be certain that it's completely dry before I store it, I hung it in the house for a day. Unless there's an adjustment to slow down the agitator, I would NOT wash this is in a top-loader. The agitators in top-loaders move briskly, and that fast twisting action could wring the insulation in a knot or stretch/unravel/tear it and ruin the bag. Oh yeah, the zipper pulls survived the first wash. Obviously, one of the highlights of this bag is the smallness for storage to which it can be compressed. If you can, however, it's best to store for any extended period in an UNcompressed or minimally compressed state. A prolonged compression can and will de-loft the insulation and reduce its effectiveness by squeezing out the air and flattening the material. The bag may memorize the compressed state, to the detriment of its ability to insulate. You'll be able to restore back some of the loft by fluffing it up, but it may not rebound completely, so it's better not to lose it in the first place by minimally compressing for long-term storage. ... show more

  • Lightweight and compact
Color: Light Blue
We bring this blanket with us when we car, truck or motorcycle camp. It’s a great blanket for hammock camping as well. We’ve been using it for a year now and nothing has started to tear or rip.

  • Such Great Quality For An Affordable Price!
Color: Dark Blue
Loved this thing! My boyfriend and I each got one to take on our 6,000 mile motorcycle road trip where we would be camping practically every night. We loved that you could take two of these bags and create one large sleeping bag. The material is soft inside and smooth outside. The quality is really great for what it is. We slept comfortably all night long. Both of us love this bag. On our trip, there were times where the nights would start off warm (the bag was breathable enough that we never felt hot), and we would wake up to a chilly morning (but the bag kept our heat nicely to where we were comfortable). It’s no Big Agnes or Enlightened Equipment bag, but it’s fantastic for the price. We loved having these bags because we didn’t have to worry about our expensive down bags getting wet and molding or getting tears in them or anything like that. These bags definitely get the job done and I don’t have to worry about keeping them clean or dry because I know I can just pop them in the washing machine. 100% recommend if you are looking for a light weight spring-fall bag that you don’t want to worry about getting wet or dirty. Wonderful option for beginner backpackers and/or hammock campers especially. ... show more

  • Warm, lightweight, easy to pack... VERY TIGHT!
Color: Orange
As a guy with a "wider" frame, I found this sleeping bag to be very tight and restricting. The length was more than generous, but I could barely get it to my chest, and that's with my arms out of it! I ended up having to wear my jacket while in it as my upper body was not able to be properly covered. It's decently warm for what it is, but I definitely wouldn't use it for late fall or winter camping. Will I keep this as a "oh crap, it's an emergency" situation? Yes, yes I will. Will I use this when I have the option to bring along something bigger and warmer? No, no I will not. ... show more

  • Small hole when connecting two sleeping bags but works great for summer camping!
Color: Black
Super lightweight. Got two to connect so my husband and I could camp together. Great value for the cost and is pretty easy to attach the two sleeping bags, but the two bags can't completely zip up together, thus leaving a 2 inch gap/hole by your feet. Since we camped in the summer it was completely fine and when it was a little chillier we just threw an extra blanket on our feet. Highly recommend this affordable option if you are just getting into camping! ... show more
