I have severe ankle problems on my right foot. I am double jointed and have sprained this ankle about 5 times. Even in tennis shoes on a flat surface I get pain. I was going to Italy for 10 days and KNEW I would do a lot of walking.... I bought these and they were a God send. Around 25,000 steps a day on cobble stone streets and countless stairs and not the first twinge of pain. Were my feet tired? Yes. Did I have pain? No. It's the first time in over 10 years that I have been able to enjoy a vacation with no pain. Seriously the best. I have a pair of the tennis shoes which are awesome too, but the height of these boots make your feet feel like they are getting a good warm hug. Tight enough to not slip but loose enough to be comfortable. I will buy more of these for sure. They also held up VERY well! Tens of thousands of steps on awful streets everyday and not the first crackers or sign of wear. Get these shoes, you won't regret it!

At first I wasn’t sure about the fit on these they didn’t start out as comfortable as my lower rise pairs. After day one I knew I would be keeping them. They are not only comfortable but unusual and fun to wear. They have been great even for all day wear.
