If your kitchen counter space is basically a myth, this baker's rack might just change your life. We have a small apartment kitchen that barely had room for the basics, and this unit opened up a surprising amount of usable space. Microwave, coffee setup, appliances, the works. Everything is accessible and easy to grab right off the shelves. Assembly is straightforward but plan on a solid afternoon. I'd say 5 to 6 hours is realistic, and having a second person around makes certain steps way easier. Fair warning: I am not what you'd call "skilled," and I still got it done, so take that as encouragement. The box is heavy, but the unit itself is actually pretty lightweight once it's all put together. Build quality is solid. The wood parts feel sturdy, the magnetic cabinet doors hold strong, and the adjustable feet are a nice touch if your floors are uneven. It even comes with wall-anchoring hardware if you want extra peace of mind. Ours has survived multiple cat launches without so much as a wobble, which honestly might be the most rigorous stress test available. The open shelving is generous and fits decent-sized appliances with no issues. The cabinets are a bit narrow, though. You can snugly fit cookie sheets and muffin pans in the bottom ones, but the upper cabinet is tight. Don't expect to stash pie pans or anything bulky up there. It's the one area where I wish they'd gone a little wider. The built-in power outlet is a great bonus for small appliances, and the hooks add even more flexibility. At about 5'6" tall with five tiers, it packs a lot of storage into a compact footprint. If you're short on space and big on clutter, this one's worth a serious look. ... show more
