Description

UHMW Polymer (plastic) is a linear polyethylene with a molecular weight in the range of 3,000,000 to 6,000,000. This value represents the "average molecular weight". UHMW is 10 times heavier than regular high density polyethylene. Please note: the size of each piece will vary slightly due to the kerf of the saw cut. In most cases it will be slightly under the 4" x 48" measurement.

Very good price, good quality. Not cut very square around the long edges but I wasn’t expecting it to be perfect and I was planning to kill it down anyways. Very slick and durable stuff. Used it as a protective layer on some custom 4-way clamps and as miter rails.

Unfortunately, while the shipping box appeared undamaged, it arrived with a couple of corners pretty banged up. Since I'm using this to upgrade my table saw fence, I needed it to be dead nuts flat and those damaged corners bulged out. I had to cut a couple of inches off to make it flat. Heavy duty , stiff . I plan on using this on my tractor's snow pusher box , instead of the steel . The steel was scraping up my driveway.

    • Smooth but with a slight bow
It came packaged well and the bar is smooth enough for my purpose, but had a bow / deflection on one end in the last quarter. Since I only need 3ft of it, making a table saw sacrificial fence, it is no big deal for me. But if I would have needed the whole 4 feet, then it would have been an issue, hence the one star deduction. ... show more

It was very workable. You have to watch out cutting it. You don’t want to heat up the saw blade. It melts the product. I made some custom fish rod holders for my boat. They came out very nice. I am pleased with this product.

I purchased this material to make some various holders for my new boat "knifes and tools". I do have a mill in order to work the material for my purposes. Once I received it, I realized this stuff can be worked with hand tools for almost anything. The seller is awesome and shipping super fast
