It does ok scraping and brushing. It claims the have an extending handle. If you call 4 inches and extension then ok.

I have a truck with about a 4 inch lift...maybe more...I don't know. I bought it that way and didn't measure it. How do you actually measure that anyway? I digress. So, I have a taller truck and regular scrapers are pointless, useless and end up thrown in the middle of the parking lot for my giant tires to run over once my defrost has cleared enough space for me to see where I'm going. THIS THING...game-changer! It extends to 41 inches long, which is pretty good. It could be longer, but then you might lose out on some leverage. At this length it does not seem to flex much so you can keep contact with the window. The scraper is nice and wide to clear a path with limited swipes. The brush is about 10 inches wide (maybe 10 1/2) and is great for getting the thick stuff off your car or truck. However, this feature is why I only gave it four stars instead of 5. It's minor, but still warranted a little rating drop - the bristles are rough enough that I don't feel comfortable running on my hood. I like to clear off as much snow as possible, including the hood and headlights, so it's not blowing in my face when I get moving. But, I fear this brush would scratch the paint. But, there is a squeegee, so maybe I'll try that when the time comes. This end also pivots, so you can flip it on either side to make your squeegee or brushing experience easier from both sides of the vehicle. Both the squeegee/brush end and the scraper end are detachable. So, if switch to a more reachable part of the vehicle, like a side window, you don't have to awkwardly scrape with a 41 inch scraper. But, you don't have to do that either. It's pretty compact (33") when not extended. And, the connecting bar has a really nice hand grip. Very soft and comfortable. It is also pretty heavy-duty. Made well. I'm glad I got it and look forward to it holding up for many winters.

Holy cow! This is the nicest snow brush I have ever seen. First, it comes in a box, so it's easily giftable. Probably not a "usual" gift item, but it's certainly gift-worthy. It's very sturdy, and the brush head is large. The ends of the bristles are kind of scuffed up so they're soft, not scratchy, yet seem stiff enough to do the job. The end with the brush and the squeege can be horizontal to the pole, parallel to the pole, or anywhere in between. You pick. It's easy to adjust. The pole itself is in three parts, so you can just connect two together or all three. The pole part without the ice scraper also telescopes for even more length versatility. The pole itself is covered in a nice, grippy sort of material, and I guess the orange color might be helpful for locating it if you dropped it into a snowdrift. The color doesn't really matter to me. With all that being said, I haven't had to use it yet this year (thank goodness as it's only November 11), so I can't yet comment on how well it brushes or scrapes snow and icy windshields. However, given my experience with snow brushes, I have no reason to believe this won't be stellar. If it turns out to be unwieldy in some way, I'll come back and update my review. But in the meantime, I'm considering getting a couple more of these as gifts.
