This is the perfect winter for testing these boots & they are fantastic! I love the style & have worn them with the collar up & down depending on the depth of the snow. They are warm & keep my feet toasty & dry even in the below zero temperatures this year. I ordered my usual size & wore them around the house with socks to break them in. But I find they are more comfortable if I wear them without socks/bare foot. I may go up a size next time, but even without socks these boots are perfect. Incredible! I bought them a size up so I could wear my thick fluffy socks, perfect! I also used the UGG treatment on the leather (that I bought long before ordering these) before wearing them so mud and other stains didn't bother them. I'm a die hard fan of the Adirondack boot. I have three other pairs from previous years. While they are still nice, the quality of materials and the construction is poor compared to previous versions. This boot has lots of synthetic material in the lining/foot bed. Older versions exclusively used shearling while these use a composite of wool, synthetic materials and glues. In my opinion, the most bothersome change is a seam down the outer ankle shaft the foot bed. It is hard and rubs against my ankle bone. Had to return. ... show more
