I read reviews so I knew fuzz would be shedding, but I decided to take my chances. Right away as soon as they were removed from the package, the fuzz started falling. I put them in my dryer with no heat and that did cause some of the fuzz to come off and into the lint tray. Fine. I thought that was the end of it. But then I put on the socks to test how warm they'll be. That's when I found the white fuzz on my feet., even between my toes. I turned the socks inside out and put them in the dryer -- again with no heat. More fuzz came off than with them turned right side out. The two things I can say in their praise is that they do feel like they'll be warmer than my usual socks this winter and that they come up far enough on my legs to also be helpful when trying to stay warm on cold days. It remains to be seen if I'd ever order them again. Depends on how much shedding happens as time goes by, and depends on how warm they are when challenged by a cold day. Update: Not especially warm, and worse is that they don't stay up. They drop down to my ankles. They also don't stay on when I wear them to bed and when I put them on when slipping into my boots it went fine, but removing the boots also removed the socks. Useless. I'm not going to bother with them any more. And I'm knocking off two more stars. My advice: look for something else.

If you have elderly parents who need warm socks, please buy these! This is the 3rd pair I've bought for my mom and she loves them. However, she just started wearing these and found a hole in one of the pairs. Thankfully, she knows how to sew, so they're patched up just fine now. I hope that you'll do a more thorough quality check in the future, but other than this, they are very much worth the price :)
