    • UGGS down in quality: update review
These are a far cry from the first pair of UGGs I bought. The wool is crunchy feeling and not very plush. The outer boot is thinner. It is just not the quality that this company started out with and has proceeded to slowly go down hill. I appreciate the waterproof/grippy soles but I'm not sure that when it comes to replace these that I will do so with UGGS -- its just lacking and I'm not into name brands but rather the quality. UPDATE: these are not worth the purchase: I worn these less than a dozen times -- most times just to acupuncture appointments. They are coming unsewn. You can feel the separation of the foot bed from the boot shaft fleece. I decided to take some of the fleece that has been coming out of the interior and do a flame test -- this is synthetic as the fibers flamed up, melted into crunchy balled particles -- this indicates synthetics (wool is used in many flame retardant items because it does not readily burn). The boots do not breathe like my old UGGS but leave my feet feeling overheated. WHY? Because they are not sheepskin. They are some sort of spun plastic fleece that is covered with some sort of thin "suede" (I could not get my suede kit to clean up these boots like my other real suede boots and shoes. These boots are made in Philippines and are subpar even for a knock off. UGG: you should be ashamed to have your label on these boots. ... show more
