The insole is removable and replaceable. The outsole is molded spider rubber for maximum stability and support. Cuff the shaft or lace it all the way up. The midsole is dual-density eva for added comfort. Leather uppers are rich and premium. Lining and insole are 17mm uggpure sheep wool that keep feet dry and cozy.

It is very comfortable and warm, this is my assessment when I got them after I didn’t have them and I was in the snow and then got them and it was no longer snowing so this is for next season. But very comfortable, very warm. But with the wrong socks, can feel snug. But not the too small snug. The snug you know you can wear out of. And for me, it’s only in one foot. So I’m ok with it, because it’s not tight. And over time I’ll out wear the snug. And it will grow out. It’s a good quality and good looking shoe. I got a size 8 1/2 because I’m a size 8 1/2. But if you’re concerned the snug will be too snug. (Don’t think it will but if you are) you can go up a size. But it might be too big over time. Idk. The 8 1/2 is fine for me and I know the slight snug is temporary and not too uncomfortable and the longer I wore the shoes, the less and less I felt it and working a few minutes, it wasn’t there. Great boot. Gorgeous. Well made. Warm. The boot is fully lined with sheepskin fleece so you don’t need a thick sock. I waver between a 8.5 and a 9 in shoe size. Purchased a size 9 which fits perfectly with thin socks (my preference). If you must do the thick sock thing, size up, but since the shoe is made of leather I expect the fleece to eventually recede and the leather to stretch a bit. The laces take a bit to arrange but are a perfect solution for skiers who have trouble finding boots due to sturdy legs and thick calves. I also bought a Used-Like New pair which put it at a little more than half off at $164. Took a while to get here, but when they arrived, they had a couple of pairs for sale at the next level down which was Used at $142. My problem is it doesn’t get cold enough where I live to justify a boot like this, unless of course I get a retirement job as a lift operator. ... show more

My 30-year-old daughter and her husband moved from "the land of the Ice Bowl" to Florida 2 years ago. I bought these boots for my daughter to wear to the 12/3 Packer game, held in Green Bay. It was a chilly, wet day - but my daughter had warm feet! Oh, and she, her peers and even I think they're gorgeous (cute, whatever - choose your word, please!) Love these boots. I normally ware size 8, but I went ahead and ordered a size 9. It gives a little bit of extra room inside. They are comfortable and ware well. Do recommend to treat the material as preventive against weather conditions.

I’ve had a pair of classic Uggs for over 10 years and wear them every winter in barely-there snow or heavy snow; they’re still going strong. Now I’m moving to an even colder, snowy area and decided to treat myself to a second pair of Uggs. Usually I wear a 7.5 in regular shoes - and a 7.5 or sometimes 8 in hiking shoes. I tried the 8 but went up to the 8.5 and am so happy that the search for a good pair of snow boots is over! I’m petite with an average arch but the 8 just had too much pressure across the top of my foot and even on the side. EDIT Feb 2, 2020 - worn loose the lace drops about 9” - answer for question up above EDIT Nov 7, 2021 - changed from 5 to 4 stars because these boots have horrible traction on hard-packed snow or snow over icy/slick city sidewalks. They’re great for trudging through deep snow but I’m in a city so I need something for unshoveled sidewalks with a fair amount of foot traffic. I could stand outside in freezing weather and my feet will stay toasty - but if I want to move I have to do the penguin walk. So - great for country or suburbs - not great in cities that don’t shovel sidewalks/plow streets ... show more

So far so good- the tongue is actually sewed in so that helps with keeping wetness out - super warm. Kind of a PITA to put on/take off but for super cold weather- worth it
