    • Nice Light But High Pitch Buzzing Renders It Useless...

The media could not be loaded. I really like the brightness of the light. It's small, but still lights up my entire face for videos. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the switch on the light makes a high pitch buzzing sound that is almost inaudible to the human ear. Unfortunately, the microphone picks the noise up really clearly and that's a problem because it adds a lot of extra time and effort to the video editing process to attempt to remove the noise from the audio. I've submitted for a replacement. If the new light doesn't have the same problem I'll be happy to increase my rating, because the light itself is really nice. The buzzing renders the light useless though. *Edit* The replacement arrived. Exact same problem. If you plan to shoot video on a real computer using a real microphone, then this thing is worthless. Nothing I tried gets rid of the high pitch noise while the light is on. I even wrapped it in electrical tape and placed it behind the sound absorbing foam on my walls. Still comes through. You can hear it in the video. It's virtually impossible to edit out. I'll be returning the replacement as well as the original because they're both useless for me and I would caution against buying this light if high pitch background noise is a problem for you. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love how simple and easy it is to use. There is a button that allows you to alternate between 3 different light settings. You can control the brightness of each light setting using the two buttons provided to increase or decrease. Before ordering I had not realized the plug is actually a USB port, I actually liked that feature for I immediately thought I could connect this to my laptop or other sources of power on the go. Though I wish it came with an adapter (i had a spare lying around luckily) to connect it to an outlet this feature is still very nice. The grip holds firm just be aware of placement to prevent your light from falling. When spinning the light in a direction you need it to face without adjusting the bar spin it clockwise as not to loosen the light. I hope this was helpful to anyone looking for affordable good lighting. ... show more

Ok....listen I literally just got this a few minutes ago and had to rush over to make this review. I am BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this selfie ring light. I'm starting a YouTube channel for vlogging and bought this ring light to start off with. If you're worried about the arms not being stable enough to hold, don't sweat it. It will not budge unless you want it to. There are 3 light settings to choose from and mulitple dimness settings to fit your needs. The holder expands to fit the size of any phone. The clip, is pretty darn sturdy and I'm going to experiment with the placement. Oh! And I'm aware I look like a messy wig with lips. Purchase this if you want a high quality and AFFORDABLE tripod alternative. Just... Wow...wOwww you guys. I can't stop saying this 😭 ... show more

I've looked high and low for the right portable ring light, and I thought I had found it. Unfortunately, I have had a lot of trouble with this little thing. The light modes work great and I haven't had any issues with power. It works well plugged into a computer or a 5watt adapter. However, part of the reason I purchased this instead of a desktop or standing lamp was so that I could carry it around with me. I found that after one or two uses, the nuts in the back that hold the flexible arms in place no longer remained tight and it's pretty difficult to get a wrench in there. I also have a 6+ iPhone and I think my phone is just a little too heavy for the flexible arms. If I try to maneuver this stand with my phone in it, there are only one or two positions I can use without it completely flopping over, and they usually rely on me propping up one of the arms. If you're going to keep this in place and not move it around/have a lighter phone, this will probably be fine. But I wouldn't recommend if you'll be traveling with it or changing the position because it's not quite sturdy enough for that. ... show more

So the product was a lot bigger than i expected but it works great! You have to get a plug it doesn’t come with one but i have plenty a it was ok, you have to plug it in then you can change the lighting like you could change filters so it has a light, translucent, bluer and Sephora type lighting then you can adjust it to low lighting to brighter and brighter. It’s pretty neat! My husband actually took it from me to use at the station so the guys can video chat and use the lighting at the same time so for me it’s multi purpose use! ... show more

Of all the Christmas tech I ordered, this is THE MOST USEFUL. I love this product. It clips on almost anywhere. I can use the light for work, or to take pictures. I can put the phone in the holder, and it rolls to any angle. This is so much better than a regular tripod or selfie stick. The light is bright. I use it for everything! I ordered this item to do live stream videos and recordings for my nail business. It's perfect! The holder for the phone is so adjustable I can angle it down to do a video of my hands or angle up to do a face shot. The light is adjustable as well and gives you three light options plus it allows you to brighten or dim the light. It has a switch on the cord that allows you to control of of the lighting options.
