I liked this container enough to replace it when I lost the old one in a fire. I use it for adult diapers and use regular 13 gallon trash bags. Depending on the contents, there can briefly be a noticeable, but not overwhelming, odor when it’s opened to put a diaper in, and also when sealing the full bag when it’s removed, but it quickly dissipates. I think it’s as odor free as you’re ever going to get when dealing with diapers. The bag on mine fills up and needs to be changed out every three days. The daytime diapers (and disposable bed pads) roll up and fit through the top opening, but the nighttime diapers are too large, and the whole top must be opened to put them in. This is minor problem because the lid fits very securely and has to be opened with two hands, and the inside ring and the lid cannot then be lowered together, but must be lowered separately. Pulling the full bag out of the container requires a bit of strength, as it seems that some sort of vacuum is created on the bottom when you pull. I’ve found that laying the container on its side makes the pulling much easier. All told, I find this a very good design for its purpose, and have not seen a similar product that I thought would work as well. We love this pale. Keeps the diaper smell away and easy to open and close and to load a trash bag into. Only con is if it gets too full the bag becomes almost impossible to get out bc there is a lip at the top that squeezes the bag as it comes out. We’ve just learned not to pack the poor thing lol.

The manual states it can hold 20 pull ups up to 55 newborn diapers. I like that there is a child lock and you don’t need any special diaper bags (uses any 13 gallon bags). I will know how it handles and if it holds the smell in when our son arrives.
