Installed perfectly on my 2012 Ford Escape XLT 2.5L 4CYL. Plenty of youtube videos on how to replace all of these parts and recharge the system when you're done. Took me about an entire evening as it was my first time tackling this type of job on a car so everything was new to me. As another review mentioned, the expansion valve does not come with the center tightening bolt even though it is pictured. I just took the bolt from the old expansion valve and installed it onto the new one. I removed the old one by laying the expansion valve flat on a workbench with a rag and then used pliers to twist it off. Make sure you're clamping the tip of the bolt and not the threads so you don't damage it. Came off pretty easy. If you're on a budget and don't want to buy manifold gauges and a vacuum pump to refill the system, your local automotive store will usually have a "tool loan rental" program. You put down a deposit (full price of the tools) and can use it for 48 hours for free as long as you bring it back in the condition you got it in. Once you bring it back they will reimburse you fully so it's essentially free to use. Compressor kit seems to be working well with no leaks. Blows cold air and works as intended. I guess time will tell on how long these kits will last but so far, so good. No complaints. Hope that helps some of you! ... show more

save your money . price was cheap which is what this comperssor is. bought in Aug of 21 now needs replaced july 22 . spend the extra for oem parts original lasted 11 years in AZ where we use then 9 months of the year

    • Missing Part
Excited to receive the kit and getting ready to install into my car. However, the expansion valve came with a missing bolt even though it was shown in the picture. There is not way to secure the lines without this bolt. Horrible!
