Best feature of this carryon: fits Alaska Air (22x14x9) Worst feature of this carryon: nothing so far I consider this to be basic, not heavy-duty, luggage which is best-suited for infrequent travel. A four-day weekend here and there. I only need it for infrequent, short-trip, regional travel where there's no likelihood of it being checked in. I also need it to fit the Alaska Air carryon size limit which currently is 22"x14"x 9". This carryon does that. This is the only carryon I found that fits those limits exactly. (However, on my most recent Alaska flight, nobody was checking sizing. There were a ton of much larger carryons). If you look at some of the higher-priced luggage on display at Macy's, you can definitely see the difference in the quality of the material, the zippers, the wheels, and the pull handle. I'm not knocking this luggage because for short trips, it's great. I'm just saying it doesn't appear to have the ruggedness and durability of other luggage where a person might be making numerous trips and the carryon might be tossed around a bit more. On my carryon, the zippers work nicely, there are a couple of nice pockets, and it rolls right down the plane aisle nicely. Mine does not tip over when packed. The tote that comes with it is more like a large purse, imo. On my most recent Alaska Air flight, I had to put my actual purse inside the tote otherwise they were going to force me to check a bag because I was over the 2-bag carryon limit. On Alaska Air, a purse counts as one bag. I like the matchy-ness of the two pieces. Addendum: There was one small lock & keys included with my luggage. I found it to be worthless. It “looked” locked, but I could easily pull it apart. I separately purchased a 4-pack of TSA-compliant locks so I could lock everything.

This bag is everything I needed. It is not too big so it does not get rejected by TSA but small enough to make travel easy. It fits in the overhead easily depth wise and makes it easy to take out with one hand. The top and side handles are not only sewn on but riveted for extra strength. On the main compartment the double zipper makes life easy and it also has the ability to be locked. Don't worry about not having enough room cause it expands for a little extra space when needed. The two front section also have double zippers and are quite roomy as well. When full the large bag stays upright thanks to the front "foot" which also doubles as a handle when needed. The retractable handle is a "double rod" design... so much stronger and more stable then a single post which aids in the maneuverability and control while rolling. The wheels roll easily and are quiet while rolling on most smooth surfaces. The shroud around the telescoping handle is made of strong plastic and also riveted in for long life and reliable service. All features I have found important through the many bags I has previously owned. This bag has many pluses that the other had not. I use the smaller bag for travel necessities like Ipad, headphones, reading material and snacks. It also does not take up too much leg/foot room when placed under the seat. The back strap makes stacking them together manageable for that mad dash between connecting flights. There is an shoulder strap included if you prefer to carry the smaller bag. It also has double zippers on bot comparment which is always an added perk. The smaller bag has an attached semi hard bottom which helps it keep it's shape and aids in helping it remain upright when placed down. Overall I really like this set.... I do wish they had a pocket in the smaller bag to make it easier to organize item... without it everything gets all mixed up and I have to dig but in the end my items can't go far and they all wind up in the same place.... Like I said earlier I have owned several other bags and I think these one will be my go to for a while.

I wanted to wait until I got back from my out of town trip to review this set. Now that it is behind me, I am able to give an honest review. This set meets TSA standards. It fit perfectly in the overhead compartment. I was able to pack enough clothes to accommodate a long weekend out of town and then some. I used the tote for easy access to the ziplock baggie of travel bottles filled with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. The wheels provide a smooth roll and the telescoping handle allowed for comfortable handling. I choose the purple set to stand out amongst all the black luggage around it. This set met my needs and expectations. I can even overlook the inferior shipping standards from Amazon these days. I miss the days when Amazon used UPS for deliveries and I received my orders within two days. Lately, it's hit or miss if the Prime driver will show up in two days or a week, or never.

I like the color of my luggage, and the space is great! I don't think it will last another year of regular, international, carryon travel. I overloaded it once in Bali, and the zipper came off the front of the bag. There were folks in Bali who fixed my bag though, and it's holding up so far. I may have to get it fixed in some other countries as well, if I don't buy a new one.

I love this set! My daughter and I took it on a flight with us recently and it worked great! I let my daughter use the little bag as her personal bag because I was using a different one and it held plenty for her as a secondary bag. My only complaint so far is it doesn't stand up well if you don't pack it right. Once you get the hang of how to pack it its ok though. Would reccomend!!
