- Directions for Use: Soak brushes as necessary and remove softened residue with a wipe, knife, or toothbrush. Cleans paint off brushes within minutes to hours for dried acrylic, oil, and water-based paint. For brushes loaded with fully dried acrylic and oil paint, soak for up to 24 hours. After cleaning brushes, wash them with mild soap and water. Reshape bristles so the brushes are ready for use.
- For airbrush cleaning use, fill airbrush cup with cleaner and spray cleaner between color changes and immediately after each use. For dried paint in the airbrush, soak affected airbrush parts in cleaner overnight if necessary. Do not soak the whole airbrush in cleaner.

I love how well this works! If you have brushes you neglected and are feeling guilty because you didn't do what you were supposed to do and are now staring at a rock hard brushes, order this product. It works. It works really, really well. The only bad thing about this product is the cost. It's expensive but if you have a lot of brushes you meant to clean, and never did and now you are on to your next project, this product will clean your paint brushes.

I recently bought a bottle of this because my usual brush cleaner wasn't available. I'm not impressed, it takes a LONG time to get a brush clean, if at all. With my last cleaner (Winsor & Newton) I could see the paint coming out of my brush as I wiped it against the side of the bottle opening. This cleaner is not as effective and I won't purchase again. I found bottles of my original cleaner available on eBay.

I initially used Revell paint thinner to wash Revell and Testers oil paints from my brushes used for paining a model. The Revell product was excellent, quickly and completely washing paint from brush bristles with the assistance of a glass jar and wire mesh to agitate the bristles. I bought US ART SUPPLY brush cleaner and restorer to replace the Revell product when I ran out. Brushes were soaked in the new cleaner for over 24 hours and still had paint in the bristles. The US ART SUPPLY product does not work for said paints. I could clean brushes completely in seconds with the Revell product. I generally don't bother with negative reviews, but I had do it for this product. Do not buy for oil-based model paints.
