I just opened the box and began blocking in this painting. No problems. See the finished work on Facebook -dreamstate content. I plan on buying a lot more of these. Are any larger sizes available?

I have been doing a oil washes and one crossbar support was installed to far forward so that it pressed against the canvas. The crossbar eventually showed through the canvass, as if the pigment was running off it. I wasn't able to notice it until multiple washes were applied, and the line appeared. It was especially disappointing when it was even more noticeable when reviewing it in sunlight. I had to do some blending that I didn't intend to do with a much thicker wash to get the paint to 80% cover up the line. I think the priming may have also smoothed out or rubbed away slightly as the canvas rubbed up against its neighbor over that cross bar, or it simply creased it enough. It looks like the other two canvas also have varying amounts of inaccurate crossbar installation as well.

I ordered the 36x48” canvas pack of 3. The depth is not the full 3/4 “ more like 1/2”. This makes a huge difference in the end bc if you don’t have that quarter inch the canvas sits right up against the support bars. In 2 of the 3 canvases the support bars are uneven and push into the front on the canvas just enough so you can see the edges of wood underneath the canvas. I tried using canvas keys to help but the slots are too large and the bars too thin to make a difference. Will try to sand the inside of the stretcher bars to fix this but whole point of ordering stretched canvases is so you don’t have to do any of that to be able to paint. As it is I have unfortunately relegated these canvases to projects that I don’t care much about. But who wants to spend over a hundred dollars on something they don’t care at all about? So unless this is a project that you don’t care about don’t waste your money or time!
