The deck of the board is a nice thickness and is very sturdy. I ordered for my 13 year old who is not on the small size in regards to his height and weight. He is already as tall as his father and I but this board has yet to tremble at his everyday use. My favorite thing about this board is the include storage setup which keeps the board safely up and away from the little. one in the house. In the past, there were two distinct variants of skateboards: toy skateboards from big box stores (that really weren't skateable) and real, pro skateboards. I feel like this is a new class of skateboard: an actual decent enough beginner skateboard. The wheels are real urethane and a nice firmness. The trucks are nice, fully metal, feel good, plus turn pretty decently. The deck is nicely made and feels much more solid than typical cheap decks, but it is missing some pop. It's shaped nicely. The griptape is fine. The bearings are probably the weakest point (loosen the nuts holding them a half turn), but still good enough for a while. The t tool is great and the same thing I grew up with (I remember paying $15 just for that..). The hanger works and is a nice bonus. The carrying strap is super neat. I've never seen anything like it, and I use it on bike rides constantly now. Anyways, I feel like this serves a great function: a skateboard that is actually good enough for your kid to try out before spending $150 on a real, pro skateboard. It's very impressive for the price, and miles beyond the big box store boards, but still not anything that replace a real board. ... show more

I personally do not know much about skateboards and I got this for my 8 year old to learn how to skateboard. He loves it! The wheels seem to move smoothly and the grip board is great.

I don't know much about skateboards but my daughter had been asking for one for a while. This one seems pretty nice, it came with a carrying case, a tool to tighten/loosen the trucks, and a wall mount to hang it on. The tires roll right over gravel and work well on the street. She says it rides smoothly and I noticed that it is not very loud when rolling. They yellow and black colors and design are very appealing.     • Good beginner board but switch the bearings out

This is a very cool set, it comes with a carrying bag, skate tool, and wall hanger. Most beginner boards don’t come with all these extras, and they’re all great. I am concerned about how long the bag will last because it’s not the sturdiest. As for the board, the deck is lightweight which is very nice. The trucks are ok and the bushing are very hard. Hard bushings are fine for heavier people, but if you’re 125 pounds or less you’ll have a very hard time carving with these bushings. Not too big of an issue for beginners, as they’re most likely just learning to push around, and maybe do some tictacs and learning to ollie. Hard bushings are good for those things. The wheels are fine, I think they’re 52mm and I’m not sure of the durometer. They feel pretty soft, probably not harder than 95a. Also good for beginners. The bearings are where you have a problem. I would not let a child ride this board as-is. The bearings just don’t spin well enough. I took them out and replaced with some minilogos, now the board rolls smoothly and feels safe. For the price, plus ten bucks for minilogo bearings, this board is still a great buy. ... show more

This board is good for kids, but not the highest quality design or parts. It works fine though, will hold decent weight. The wheels seem not so smooth, but okay. We were also sent the wrong board - I ordered a different more feminine design for my daughter, and we got a duck, so she isn't crazy about that either. Overall, it works fine, but not for adults or serious skateboarders. It is probably good for young children or very lightweight adults who are learning. ... show more

Overall this seems live a very good beginner board...it's been awhile since I rode as a kid, so I can't speak too much about the quality of the trucks, etc...but the board itself seems pretty decent. The trucks and wheels don't look too fancy but work fine and would be easy to upgrade down the road if you cared to. Nice that it comes with a tool and the carry "bag" is interesting. Not sure I'd use the hanging hook for the board, but might be useful in a garage for something else too. ... show more
