This book offers a somewhat general approach to two-way radios and scanners. I am a ham radio operator myself, and found the material useful and interesting. Tried to learn the basics but found an error right at the beginning that had me confused . There may be other calculation errors in this book but good for just the basics .

This book deserves five stars and would have received five stars if more frequency lists (ranges) had been included for the various radio services. Also, more equipment photos should have been included, in my opinion, so that those new to the subject would have an opportunity to see just what the gear looks like. ... show more
