Description

Help your kids develop a strong work ethic! What if one summer chore could change your child's life forever? Two Brothers and a Lawnmower is more than just a story—it’s a blueprint for building character, courage, and confidence in kids. In this book, your child will learn:How to face rejection without giving upThe power of teamwork and encouragementWhy taking initiative leads to unexpected opportunitiesThat hard work, even when it’s tough, pays offHow confidence is built one brave step at a timeThat leadership starts with serving others Meet Joel and Jonny—two ordinary brothers with big dreams and an even bigger challenge: how to turn a simple lawn-mowing chore into the adventure of a lifetime. With their dad’s encouragement and their own determination, they knock on doors, face “no” after “no,” and keep pushing forward—all for a fishing pole and a basketball. But what they gain is worth far more than anything they hoped to buy. Filled with vibrant illustrations and thoughtful discussion questions, this true story is perfect for families, classrooms, and anyone who wants to raise kids who don’t back down from a challenge. • I hope this becomes a series.
Format: Paperback
A great, relatable story and message for any child. It kept my 5/6 year old girl's attention. The optional, thought-provoking questions at the end were probably my favorite part. I haven't had such a nice discussion about a story with the hundreds of other books we've read together. I wish every book had questions. We're ready for the next Joel and Johnny adventure! ... show more

As a salesperson, I want my kids to learn what it takes to get past the word “no”, at least when it comes to their careers! Jon delivers a timeless message in a fun story. I would recommend to any sales minded parents that want to introduce concepts of grit and persistence to their children.

  • The Perfect Book For Young Entrepreneurs
Format: Paperback
I bought Two Brothers and a Lawnmower for my younger cousin, and it was an absolute hit! The story of Joel and Jonny learning the value of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance was both engaging and inspiring. He was hooked from the first page, and it brought up a great conversation about setting goals and not giving up when challenges hit. The illustrations by Freedom Rodriguez are fantastic, and the discussion prompts at the end made it even more interactive. It’s a great book for teaching kids important life lessons in a fun way. Highly recommend for families, classrooms, or any young reader with big dreams! ... show more

  • My kids loved it (and I did too)
Format: Paperback
I'm very excited about this book for my kids. It’s the kind of book that sneaks in life lessons without feeling preachy. My kids (4 and 6) were totally into the story of Joel and Jonny, and we had such a good conversation afterward about working hard, not giving up, and dreaming big. The illustrations are awesome—colorful and fun—and the questions at the end were perfect for getting us talking. It just felt real and encouraging in a way that sticks. I love books that help me teach my kids important stuff in a way that clicks with them. This one’s a keeper for sure! ... show more
