This is an outstanding first book by a new children's picture book author/illustrator. The text is simple and fun, easily readable to preschool kids. The illustrations are wonderfully expressive and bright, and you can't help but fall in love with the goofy llama and his couch plight as well as with the family, who just want to find a nice, "just right" new couch. A Couch for Llama is my new favorite book! My grandkids love it and have me read it over and over. The story is about an adorable llama who finds a sofa he loves, and then.... The illustrations are beautiful. The expressions on the llama's face make you want to have a llama of your own for a pet!

Cute story and great pics...plus as you read, you can ask lil questions about what is going to happen next...which the ending comes as a bit of a surprise. Wonderful! Keeps the kids attention and adults love reading it aloud.
