This Leader boat seat is the second one that I've bought - the first was a couple of years ago. It's holding up just fine, but I needed another seat for my grandson. This is a very good basic boat seat for fishing - it's well made, but not fancy or luxurious. It's rather compact, which is good for my 14' Alumicraft, especially for my seat at the stern with multiple tillers, etc. to deal with. And it has adequate padding to be comfortable for me (5'8", 180lbs) for hours at a time. My wife's seat at the bow is a fancier, more expensive Tempress 45608, which is arguably a bit more comfortable. But not worth almost twice the price for me. ... show more

    • Good Seats. Reasonable value for the price

Not great, but good. Reasonably comfortable. Plastic foundation. Lightweight metal hardware. I also added plywood to the base of the two seats that would be installed on pedestals on my bass boat. I drilled holes in the plywood to correspond (roughly) to the drain holes in the plastic frames and thoroughly coated the plywood with water seal. The other two seats were installed in the driver's and passenger's positions as is. The seat backs will stick to the seat bottoms when left folded down. I applied two coats of a McGuire's plastic and leather coating to the seats. After that dried and cured for a day, I added a coat of Armorall. They still seemed a little sticky, so I placed terrycloth shop rags between them when I folded them down as an extra precaution. I don't use my boat often, so I haven't tested the seats to see if they will stick without the rags. If you are going to use your boat every week, look for something more durable, but these will work OK for me. ... show more

Unwrapped em today. Can't wait to get them in the Jon Boat. Look very nice and comfortable. Padding seems efficient. Stitching and the assembly of the hinges seem durable. At less than $60 each, I'm not complaining. Will update review after some weathering.

I just received my order and installed this seat on my hunting/fishing boat. Seat has a good color and blends in with my camo boat well. It is lightweight which is good to make the boat as lightweight as possible. I will see how well it holds up to sunlight and weather but other than that it is a great option for the price and comfortable. ... show more

Decent seats. Cheap foam (low density single layer, I assume), will need to replace at some point with better stuff. Would suggest shopping around.
