    • Good Seats. Reasonable value for the price

Not great, but good. Reasonably comfortable. Plastic foundation. Lightweight metal hardware. I also added plywood to the base of the two seats that would be installed on pedestals on my bass boat. I drilled holes in the plywood to correspond (roughly) to the drain holes in the plastic frames and thoroughly coated the plywood with water seal. The other two seats were installed in the driver's and passenger's positions as is. The seat backs will stick to the seat bottoms when left folded down. I applied two coats of a McGuire's plastic and leather coating to the seats. After that dried and cured for a day, I added a coat of Armorall. They still seemed a little sticky, so I placed terrycloth shop rags between them when I folded them down as an extra precaution. I don't use my boat often, so I haven't tested the seats to see if they will stick without the rags. If you are going to use your boat every week, look for something more durable, but these will work OK for me. ... show more

    • Almost exact replacement for a 20+ year hold captain's seat.

Original captain's seat broke. The plastic seat base failed. Most likely due to age and maybe someone stepping on the seat back. This new seat has good enough comfort and support for the money ($60). It fit the existing 5" square base. However I used the original stainless steel screws rather than the steel screws that came with the seat. Also, the provided screws were 1mm shorter and the head was 1mm smaller than the original screws. ... show more

Replaced a seat and added a seat on my fishing boat, the old one finally broke after 17yrs, this is almost identical from the one I took out. If it lasts that long it’s worth the price!
