I was surprised at how easy it was to open up the back to put in the picture. Usually, those metal frame holders are hard to bend and hurt your fingers. These rotated to hold in place, so no bending metal to keep the backing down. Best picture frame ever.

This 11x14 gold frame was on sale for $14 and I needed something cheap and quick to frame a piece before a show. I usually stick with glass but was hanging on a sketchy wall and opted for these plexiglass frames instead. The smaller 5x7’s were fine but this larger one was kinda disappointing. Because of the scale, the plexiglass was warped and wouldn’t sit flush with the mat. This might not be a big deal to you but for me, it is. The frame itself is light weight and flimsy- I think it would shatter if I dropped it. From a distance they look ok, but up close they look cheap like the ones I find at the 99cent store. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised for the price. I honestly don’t think it’s even worth $14. Just spend $5 more on something of better quality. ... show more

Just a heads up! The 3 1/2" x 5" mat is enclosed inside the frame, hidden behind the back panel, and it is not visible through the glass in front. You might think, as I did, that the mat is missing but it's inside hidden from view. Why Oh Why?
