I was so upset when i got to the end and realized i made an error.The instructions should add some side notes for the parts that get a little confusing however i am glad i bought this bed.It looks so big.Only thing is the mattress i ordered is the wrong size so i will need to get a twin mattress not a toddler mattress(my error).This bed i priced very affordable and it looks so expensive.All of my friends want the same one now.i can’t wait to finish decorating it!!!

I love this bed, but more importantly my son adores it. I was looking for an affordable but imaginative solution for his transition from the crib/toddler bed and this seemed like a good option. I assembled it myself (5’7” middle aged woman). It took me about 1.7 hrs in total, but I did have to spread it over several days because the heads of several screws did strip as I was going along. It was a weekend, the stores were closed and I found out that some of the screws are of an unusual size (parts of an inch different than standard), so they were harder to find and I had little time to drive around shopping. I used an automatic screwdriver and would not do it again any other way (although it was probably the reason why the screws stripped). It’s lightweight but not flimsy. The mattress I purchased is on the floorboards (no springbox or anything). There is a 2-3 inch gab between the bed and the mattress but I welcome it because it makes for a better bedding fit. All items that are now a part of my son’s bed were purchased on Amazon- chiffon fabric on the roof, the curtains, ghost string lights, mattress and bedding (except the comforter). The biggest expense was the mattress- $200. The rest sums up to about $75. My son is three and he SCREAMED with joy when he saw it. He hides in it all day long and takes big leaps to jump on it. We have long reading sessions, snuggled. We are both very happy with this choice.

The screws are weak . Ones you put it in you can’t take it out b/c the shape of it disappeared . But if that happens message the company and they would gladly find you a satisfied solution. Overall the company will always want the customer happy with the purchase.

This bed is so beautiful. Its one of the best purchases ive made. My son loves it. The bed is sturdy. Definitely a 2 person job to set up but easy instructions overall.

*Update* The seller was reasonable with my concerns. We have resolved the situation to my satisfaction. This product was not up to standards. The wood working appears as if it was done by freshman woodshop students. The wood is visibly cracked in some places. There are countless yellow discolorations and blemishes on the paint job. The dowels do NOT fit snugly and thus provide no support (which is a structural hazard). Screw packet #2 was NOT included in the box, instead two screw number 7 packets were included. Instructions for assembly were also poor (thankfully I am handy). The entrance side is not well secured in final construction and is flimsy; it will require a box spring firmly attached to it so that it has more support.

It was very quick to put together, but it’s not as sturdy as I would have expected which is fine since my daughter is only 26 pounds. But a larger child, it might be too flimsy. Overall, we were able to add supports and it should last her years

I got impatient waiting for a man to come build it so me and my 9year old took on the task. The directions were pretty simple as far as the steps but lacked details. For instance, the indented groves where the screws go, they all need to be facing the same direction. We put the wrong wooden poles on the wrong side. The screw holes were facing opposite directions which required us to take it apart and reassemble. The entire bed is put together with an Allen wrench. If you have a power tool with that attachment you’ll be good to go. We did it by hand and our fingers hate us! The wooden slates that hold up the mattress is put together with a screw driver. This definitely taught me being an independent woman is not always fun lol. The bed is perfect and low to the ground. My 1 year old loves it and her big brothers tried to take over her room. I ordered an 8 inch memory foam mattress from Wayfair to go with it. 8-10 inches is recommended for this bed. I think 10 inches would’ve made it too high. It’s definitely worth purchasing but use power tools and a man if possible lol.
