This deal is perfect for my daughters room. I love all the drawers and that she can lock away her journal from her siblings, ha ha! The long back piece of the big drawer came with a crack in it but it wasn’t all the way through and so I think it will be ok. The top piece came with a couple dents but nothing major so we kept it. There were a few places in the directions where I had to spend a good amount of time looking at it to figure it out. One was at the very end (#14 in the instructions) with the fabric tab thing. I finally figured out that that is used for if you want to anchor it to the wall. It’s pretty sturdy, and my daughter isn’t a toddler, so I didn’t feel it needed it. The other part was #4 &5, installing the rails. There wasn’t pre-drilled holes for the #25233 screws so I HAD to use a drill, even though instructions said I didn’t need one. Also #6 instruction didn’t say which way to face the two JA pieces, or IJ , so I ended up having to turn those around once I stood the desk upright because I had put them on backwards. One of them I wasn’t able to flip but it’s behind the bottom drawer so no one will ever see it. Everything else was pretty self explanatory. It took me a couple hours to assemble by myself. May I make a point that parts of this desk DID hold up; the side drawers and the top of it ( kind of ). Now that I’ve made this point I’d like to point out how utterly, disgustingly horrid this desk has turned out. I could’ve had my 5 year old niece put together a basic 3 piece desk and that would’ve held up better than this GARBAGE. 1.) I bought this with the intent it would hold stuff; come to find out the top drawer can’t even hold a notebook and an EMPTY BAG along with a few bottles of tester skincare stuff. Why? Because the bottom of the thing isn’t wide/long enough to stay in the grooves. I literally had to nail CARDBOARD to try and make it stay and it literally collapsed (not the first time). 2.) The backboard came off because I bumped into it. Why? No clue. Genuinely no clue. It’s like the desk was just built on hatred and low salaries, along with the punishment and the guilt you’d feel sending this out for someone to TRY to put together. 3.) The top doesn’t even go down all the way so you can’t even lock it. 4.) The amount of times I have cried and yelled and screamed at this thing because it doesn’t do its basic job is insane. I’m going insane at this desk and will be burning it in our fire pit. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PEICE OF DUMPSTER GARBAGE ... show more

I wouldn't recommend buying this desk because the top gets scratched so easily. Just a couple months of use and it looks very beat up. My daughter is not too little and tries taking care of it but it still got all dirty with marks all over the top.

Update: I've trying to get in touch with the seller about the missing handles. Can't find a response yet. The middle drawer is sinking in because it doesn't fit in the grooves. I'm gonna be very specific in this review. So, please, read it all before you decide to buy. These are things you definitely need to know to save your sanity I've been wanting a legit desk to use as a vanity and to shoot makeup videos for a long time. I just so happened to find this 5 drawer desk for $115 and thought it was such a steal. The only thing that got stolen was my joy. Lemme cut to the chase: Pros: 5 drawers Wide work space Rich, black color Cons: The box was destroyed during delivery and, besides styrofoam, nothing covers the bigger parts, like the desk top. The instructions are just a few pieces of paper, printed like a booklet and folded together. That's it. Nothing explicitly explaining anything outside of pictures. Parts are PARTIALLY labeled. Like, you'll have 4 of the same pieces, but only 2 of them are labeled as such. And the labels... My. God. One label may be a sticker and the next is ink printed on the piece. The inconsistencies are numerous, yet hilarious. Screws and other fasteners are thrown into a mixed bag and you're given way too many to use. My first hour was sorting them out alone. Everything needs a wooden peg, but the holes are so small, they snap inside and become one with the plywood. They just return to nature... No amount of screwing is too much until you've stripped the hole. I don't make the rules. The drawers are weird because they don't come out more than halfway, but that might just be MY drawers. I kinda gave up reasoning after the 3rd hour. Tl;dr: After an existential crisis and 7 episodes of My Favorite Murder, I was finally able to put it together in 5ish hours alone. It's great if you want some rinky dink furniture to look nice for now, but definitely take into consideration how time consuming it is to do alone or the relationships you'll lose if you ask a friend to help. ... show more
