This mount has been absolutely outstanding for securing my Garmin Varia radar. Once installed, it holds the unit firmly and securely with no rattling, shifting, or concerns about it moving during rides - even on rough pavement. I now have this installed on my road bike and my hybrid city e-bike. I move my Garmin Varia 515 between the two bikes...easily! It's versatile in that way, and btw, very light! I’ve used enough cycling accessories over the years to know that “good enough” mounting systems usually aren’t good enough when you’re trusting an expensive device on the back of your bike. This one inspires confidence immediately. The fit and finish are excellent, installation was straightforward, and the design feels both sturdy and thoughtfully engineered. Honestly, it works so well that I barely think about it anymore, which is exactly what you want from a bike accessory. If Amazon allowed 6-star reviews, this would get one from me.

Great build quality. I can't give it 5 stars because I have to return it. The seat rail clamp is too narrow and did not fit either of my saddles. Not sure what saddle this is designed for. Had it fit, this would have been the perfect mount for my Garmin radar tail light. The adjustability of the quarter turn mount lets you angle your light and reach out over a tool bag mounted under saddle.

This mount does exactly what it’s supposed to do, but a word of caution: the metal is light and can break if you crank down on it too aggressively. I’ve seen reviews from people who snapped it during installation. That said, I had no issues at all. You just need to use common sense. This is a mount for a Garmin Varia—not something designed to hold 50 pounds. Tighten it snug, not like you’re torquing a lug nut. If you install it properly, it holds firm and feels secure. What I really like is the position it puts the Varia in. It sits perfectly for visibility and gives a clear line of sight to approaching cars. It looks clean and professional once installed. Overall, the quality is very good, and the price is excellent compared to Garmin-branded options. Just install it carefully and it performs exactly as intended.

This does what it intended. It allowed me to move my RTL515 further up the seat without having to move my seat forward to make space so it can be mounted on the rail. I don't have this on my bike now and I didn't return it. This was way heavier then I thought it would be and may affect the aero a very tiny bit. It doesn't need to be so robust as the radar is very light and unlikely to impact even during a fall. I spent $$$ to get littler parts for my bike and more aero. This defected those efforts.

Sturdy construction, easy to install. I ride a 48 cm frame and little real estate on my seat post for the radar mount. I also need to carry a small seat bag for spare parts and stuff. This mount allows me to place the Varia OUTSIDE and ABOVE the back of my saddle bag while maintaining the proper fixed angle for radar operation. It mounts onto the seat rails where they begin to angle upwards, so there’s still room to put my seat bag straps around the rails between the seat post and the Varia. Works great for me. If you ride with seat adjusted very forward, this set-up might not allow you room for a bag. I check the mount before each ride to be sure everything is tight. Some other reviewers apply loc-tight.

I’ve bought other TUSITA products, so I thought this one would be good too. Sadly, the screw holes weren’t tapped correctly for the screws provided, so it was impossible to actually tighten this down or the screws would pop off the threads and fall out. I tried to return it but my local Amazon return center (at Whole Foods) screwed something up and it never made it back to the warehouse. So I got a refund, then got charged again and had to eat the cost for a defective product that I didn’t even have anymore. The whole experience has steered me away from other TUSITA purchases.

Tried to install on a Selle SMC VT20C but was not wide enough to accommodate the rail width. Too bad as it is really solid and of high quality. I have other products from the manufacturer and they’ve always worked great.
