I don't know if I received a snorkel with too sensitive of a valve, but most of the time when I would inhale it would close up leading me to come up for air while trying to snorkel. Even after I surfaced and was above water, the valve would close when inhaling even after forcefully exhaling. I had to switch to another inexpensive no-name dry snorkel and had no problems with breathing or with water coming into the snorkel, so I think the mechanism at the top of this snorkel is faulty. The mask would be good if you have a nose that angles upward, due to the shape. I have a straight medium sized nose it it was uncomfortable pressure pushing upward. It did not leak though. Reduces glare and is very comfortable. The snorkel stays dry and if you ever need to clear it, its very easy. Very happy with this set!
