My 20+ year old terry robe finally died. I love getting out of the shower and putting on a fluffy terry robe, especially in winter. This one is perfect! I am 5'8", 170 lbs and the large is a great over size for me. It's long, sleeves are just right, wraps around me completely and more and the color is a pretty dove grey. The initial chemically smell went completely away after machine washing and drying. It's a comfy medium weight and softly fluffy, didn't shed and is well constructed. It's a nice robe; I prefer it over any other robe I have had in the past. It absorbs water very well, since it is made from same materials as nice absorbent towels. It is a little heavy though. This robe is exactly what I hoped it would be! It fits great, but not TOO big, comes to my ankles (Im 5'2"), long sleeves - none of that 3/4 length sleeve nonsense. It goes around me approx 1 and 1/2 times, so it's not going to flop and gap open all the time which drives me nuts. It is made of nice absorbent terry cloth (NO VELOUR!!) but not so thick that it's bulky. I am so happy with my decision to go with this robe and not get seduced by the mind trick of "The more expensive ones are better." Not the case at all. For under $40.00, I have myself a wonderful terrycloth, full length robe of better quality than some hotels offer. If I had one complaint, I would've liked the pockets to be a tad bigger. These are barely big enough for my hands - and I dont have fat hands. But overall.... Well done! I'm buying a few more of these for Christmas gifts. ... show more

The robe just arrived. It's a little longer than I anticipated but not a problem. I have not yet done the laundering before use. I'm pleased on first look. It's fun to have new linens when the days are crisper in the fall. Just in time. If anything changes I'll update the review. I like the Amazon delivery service, too. Quick, drivers follow delivery instructions. Much appreciated. UPDATE The robe got softer on first laundering. I sized up anticipating shrinkage with 100% cotton. No sign of shrinkage yet. It's a very generous size. I would not recommend sizing up. Size is true. It's large for me but I'll keep it. It so soft and warm. It will be nice for the cooler weather approaching in a few days. Try this robe. You'll like it. I ordered one for a friend. Tracking indicates it was delivered to her office today. She works remotely on Wednesday. She probably see it tomorrow. I bought this two years ago for my tween daughter to wear right out of the shower. The loop at the neck that enables the robe to hang on a hook broke almost immediately, but that was okay, because our hooks are large, so the robe could hang from the collar. Now, though, the robe looks very raggedy with lots and lots of hanging threads. It was an inexpensive robe, but I still think it should have been more durable. I love this terry cloth bathrobe! Plush and very soft! It is definitely a winter robe. It is nice and warm and heavy. If I needed more than one of these, I would order a 2nd one. It wraps nicely. The pockets are deep enough for a cell phone to fit. All I can say is buy it!!! I bought the pink one and love the color. I am 5'5 and 140lb.
