The chain is so pretty and looks so expensive. I don’t wear it in the shower but I e worn it after putting my intense skin treatment routine on and it got a little gritty but cleaned up beautifully! I think this is gonna last a while. And I’ve honestly considered getting another as a back up. I’m pretty sure I will, actually. It’s a biiiiit hard to clasp because the hook is so small but I’ve gotten used to it and now I’m a lot faster with it. This should NOT be a deal breaker for you, unless you just can’t use your fingers at all. You’ll be missing out on a gorgeous piece.

This gold initial necklace includes a 14k gold plated heart initial pendant on a very thin and dainty chain. On the box, it is marked handmade with love. This item is packaged in a textured black jewelry gift box that is then wrapped in a cellophane self closing bag for protection against scratching and scuffing of the gift box during shipment and transportation. Inside the gift box is the charm and chain in small ziplock baggies, also to protect the jewelry from damage that could incur with the vibrations as it makes its journey to you. It makes a perfect personalized gift, if you order the one with the correct initial. The gold tone is what you would see from a 14K gold plated heart initial. Not too yellow and not too silver. First, I ordered and “E” and was sent an “S”. Since this was through Vine I am unable to return for the correct letter, so it’s useless to me….. however, I will do my review on the necklace itself. The necklace is cute, exactly as pictured. The chain feels sturdy enough and is adjustable. I wanted this as a gift for my daughter who just turned 8. I think the quality would last at least 6 mo of continuous wear (on an 8yo… prob longer for mature individuals who aren’t playing rough daily). My daughter does go though necklaces quickly as she catches on them and tend to break the chains. The gold is consistent on the entire necklace and charms, it looks well-made. Sizing is perfect and adjustable. It’s dainty and petite as to not be overwhelming jewelry.

I ordered this with my granddaughter's 10th birthday in mind so I'm happy to see that it is of giftable quality. It's simple but personal and on a thin chain so it won't be "too much" for a pre-teen girl. The color is what I expect from gold tone, not that gaudy yellow I've seen at times. The heart is well formed with no rough spots, as is the initial. The chain is delicate but not flimsy and is sized perfectly so that it doesn't visually outweigh the heart and initial. I love it and will probably need another for my 13 yr old granddaughter. If I didn't know it was plated, I'd wonder if it was 14k. It really appears to be a quality piece.
