If you're working on a pinewood derby car, it's nice to have a set of weights available to fine tune the car to its maximum weight distribution. My grandson is a cub scout and he has been designing his car for this year's race. In past years I've used random scraps of metal for weights, but that meant various sizes and dimensions which make it tough to plan a specific spot for the weight to be set into during the weigh in time. This weight set makes it much easier as each piece has the same diameter circle to pre-drill holes for.
