I've been using this product for over ten years. Always add it to the oil going in with my first oil change. For a car I plan to keep for a long time, I'm sure to use it each time oil is changed. (Be sure to tell the guys changing your oil that an equal amount of oil should not be put in - you don't want to overfill.) The first time we used this, 35+ years ago, the idle in our old Plymouth Sapporo went from 900 to 1350 rpm after adding the Tufoil. It really does cut down on friction! Also, we've had no engine breakdowns on any of our vehicles using this.

Got almost 400,000 miles using this stuff. Decided to rebuild the engine just because of the miles and how good it was to me, never never fix what works! Couldn't believe the inside of this motor it was like brand new no wear. I have been using Tufoil probably since the '70s in many cars. What was most noticeable for me was the reduced engine start-up noises during the winter. Gas mileage or engine wear is difficult to calculate - too many variables. Overall, i have seen a slight improvement in gas mileage. I have been a user of Tufoil since they came out with it MANY years ago and swear by it. I often will take small amounts of this and combine it with lighter oils for household use and it's amazing at reducing friction. I usually do not write reviews and do not care for the bickering I often see. I just spend my own money on products and continue to use them if I see a benefit. Thats the bottom line on any product. I do not use it on every oil change. Years go by and sometimes I do without it. But if your mechanically sympathetic type like me and trained to actually listen and discern the evidence, then I know the stuff works. I've never been a fan of the 3000 mile oil changes. With our fleet of commercial vans we often changed oil at 20-25,000 miles on synthetics. We never have engine issues. We wear out the interior and suspension and sometimes a few transmissions but no engine issues. I use my Tufoil sparingly. One 8 ounce bottle treated my 6.7L diesel, 2.4L Honda, and two 25 hp commercial diesel tractors. I seem to get the same benefit using this amount whenever I feel the vehicles losing smoothness. I put it in my F350 Diesel for the first time yesterday and within 30 minutes of use I could feel the smoothness and noise reduction. Being a gunsmith for over 32 years ( second job) it never ceases to amaze me on how many people can not discern good from the bad. I guess hearing loss and not having acute senses maybe a reason or they do not care. I do know however that if you put it in a car in good mechanical condition you will get results after about 30 minutes. Is it needed, nope! But it is really a friction fighter. ... show more
