Description

The Mountaineer Backcountry Snowshoes are a snowshoe designed for women to easily navigate the backcountry. Its new Active Fit 2.0 binding has a cinch strap for easy entry and helps decrease friction, along with the 180 EZ binding which makes for a more simple tightening mechanism. The Pro-Step Frame adds improved flotation, while the Rotating Toe Cord Limiter Articulation System makes the tail of the snowshoe drop to dump unwanted snow and prevent over-rotation. Activelift is designed to help make uphill hiking easier by lifting the heel to reducing calf fatigue. With the Anaconda Toe Crampon you'll have constant contact and penetration in any terrain with it eight carbon steel teeth and the Python Heel Crampon delivers increased braking traction.

  • Beautiful color, perfect functionality
Style: Mountaineer 25 W Size: 25 Color: Purple
These snowshoes are not only beautiful, but function fantastically! I needed to replace my tired 10-year old snowshoes, also Tubbs, with a newer pair meant for backcountry hiking. After reading many reviews, I went with Tubbs hoping they will last just as long as my new pair. The snowshoes arrive earlier than the initial shipping notification (win!), and were boxed nicely. The color is beautiful, and although I am not “girly-girl” I am loving the vibrant purple. The crampons are amazing, and the heel lift awesome. The heel lift is difficult to put back down, but I anticipate over time, it will become easier. Awesome product! ... show more

  • Great for deep and steep
I usually go snowshoeing off-trail up steep ascents and oftentimes, when lucky, through deep snow. These snowshoes have been perfect. The fact that they are easy to get on and off and adjust is a bonus.

  • Great bindings
My first pair of snowshoes were tubs - 20 years ago but the bindings are everything- these are great! They are best for off trail but still doable for trails
