This gaiters comes with a strap to keep it onto your shoes and avoid snow going into your shoes while snowshoeing. Magic tape protects a zipper and that zipper is what you are suppose to zip up your pants with. Item has overall okay quality as the magic tape does comes loose as you trend through deep snow, and it is definitely not heavy-duty, so it will probably last 2 winters before you want another one (or a better, thicker one). ... show more

Gaiters are simple things. They shouldn't be difficult to put on or remove and they should keep your lower legs dry. Check, check, and check for these Tubbs gaiters. I haven't tested them in deep, slushy stuff but snowshoeing in deep powder has been pleasureful with them on. They look sturdy enough. My husband has a pair of Outdoor Research (OR) gaiters and these seem to be on par with his for ease of use and protection. ... show more

I only gave three stars because for the life of me I can't figure out how in the world these go on! I am sure they would work very well if I could use them. I got them for shoveling snow off the deck so my pants would not get soaked as well as for doing other activities in the snow. Hopefully I will figure out how they go on sometime....perhaps I will write to Tubbs and see if I can get some information. Thanks ... show more

I bought them for snowshoeing. I like the Velcro. The strap for bottom could be better quality but for this winter they worked great for my first tim using snowshoes. They say men’s on review but the ones I bought said women’s. They worked fine for me.

These gaiters are great for snowshoeing. Secures to my boot with a hook at the toe, no movement while hiking. Buckle is pretty simple even with gloves on. Bonus was the added insulation I did not realize I was missing while hiking in the snow.
