  • Beautiful, High-Quality Toolbox = Buy Once, Cry Once.
I’ve been using a no-name, red metal toolbox with broken latches for at least 20 years, because I try to make do, and I don’t travel with tools or need to lock them up. Once I decided to replace that nonsense, I really couldn’t find a substantial, mid-size metal toolbox with any sort of intuitive design or easy-to-use handle—they’re really lacking in the US market. I looked at buying two smaller boxes, and at bigger mechanics’ “top chests,” but why buy something expensive that is still cumbersome? I’m glad I hedged for a while; I eventually stumbled onto this brand/model in a subreddit. This is the nicest toolbox I’ve ever seen. I waited until the price dipped to 115, and I feel like it’s the bargain of my year—it’s so heavy and gorgeous! The hinges are fluid and nothing feels remotely rickety. I can see more of my tools at once. Dividers are also metal, and it comes with a lot of them—more than I’ll ever need. It only comes in metallic blue, but it’s a lovely blue. Zero plastic components = a rare, welcome surprise. Casters are difficult to install, but using a mallet and a wood block helps. I also soaped them. They certainly aren’t coming back off. The wheels are shockingly handy and allow me to pull/turn/spin the box effortlessly—something I didn’t think I needed until it was possible. To be able to push/pull it out of the way without lifting it is something else. Probably more expensive and durable than I needed, but it’ll never end up in a landfill. Made by Toyo with a different handle mechanism than the Toyo-branded version, is what I understand. Toyo has more colors, but I like this handle better. My hand tools are mid-grade, just household stuff, but now they have a Rolls-Royce toolbox—I’m thrilled with it. ... show more

  • High quality Japanese tool box.
I love these Trusco tool boxes for durability. Made in Japan and high quality. This one has the added bonus of wheels. Handy for wiring under a car

  • Expensive but worth it.
A great looking and versatile tool box, with adjustable storage compartments in the fold-out trays. Powder coat finish is thick and seems durable. Heavy and sturdy when filled. The only cons are as follows. 1) The handles are fixed and do not fold down when it is closed, so storing this on a shelf will require enough extra height to accommodate the handles. 2) There are 2 wear points in the middle of the box on both sides where the trays come-together and rest on the bottom compartment in the closed position. I used some small bits of plastic automotive trim to protect this wear point, otherwise the finish in these 2 spots would have worn off very quickly. ... show more

  • Very sturdy tool box well woth the money
The build quality of this box makes ot very sturdy and well worth the money. It comes with wheels, which for me is extremely helpful. It also comes with enough partitions for the 4 trays to accommodate whatever configuration you desire. The box opens and closes with no hint of wobbling or flimsiest. My only regret...which is a personal timming issue...is that I didn't get the longer one first. It's the next tool box on my list. ... show more

  • Beautiful, well made, professional box.
Ok first, this delivered in a week. That's impressive considering shipping from Japan. Second, the price is a bit high but to me it's more than worth it. Its large and looks great. The fit and finish are great. The action on the sections is smooth, not too loose, not too tight. I'm a mobile service tech for dock equipment and doors and it works great for me. I can sit it on my scissor lift and I control whether it stays compact or spreads out displaying my tools. Which is nice in a tight space. Dividers are stamped steel and you wont need them all but they are there. Its unique, impressive and heavy. Just be aware this guy loaded is heavy. Comes with casters you can install on the bottom of the box. I dont need them but they are good quality as well. Can't say enough about Trusco. Solid 5 stars. ... show more

  • good traveling toolbox, heavy
Toolbox holds enough tools and hardware to make it worthwhile. It is designed with 2 layers of shelves that are big enough to hold wrenches, screwdrivers and ratchets sufficient to handle a variety of situations. I haven't used it enough to say much, but as of now I find the tools much more accessible than in any of the prior bags or boxes I've tried. Potentially, the tiers will bend if I try forcing it closed, or if a tool gets shoved in improperly. I will just keep that in mind and hopefully not do something wrong. ... show more

  • Beautiful, well made box
Love this box. Very well made, and the paint is top notch. Opens easily, displaying all tools at a glance. Only complaints are that it is pricey, and the wheels were kind of hard to attach.

Awesome toolbox with a fantastic finish and it came with wheels! I didn't know that it has wheels and I love the way the wheels attach!
