This thing really helps to remove itch after bites. Works perfectly after mosquitoes, does help with fire ant bites too, but need to reapply often, but makes bite place less painful and way less itchy (and who got bitten by fire ants know - it’s painful as hell). I got my first Hero Stick, as we call it, as a free sample. I was glad to receive something to use on my toddler that was completely non-toxic, not fake non-toxic. That is very important to me. It became my go to for all sorts of boo-boos. I was skeptical about it helping with bug bites, but it does help reduce itching from mosquito bites. I bought a pack of three when the first stick got used up. We keep one upstairs, one in the kitchen, and one in the van. Just this past month I got shingles, so I gave the virus (same as chickenpox) to my kids. It definitely proved to reduce itching of chickenpox. Neither kid complained much about itching whether it was the 5.5 year old with only 30 pox or the 3 year old with over 100. We slathered it on several times a day. Whoa! This stuff is way better than if we had used calamine lotion. Having used so much this past month, I just bought more to replenish. ... show more

The Hero Stick is incredible! In 25 years of skiing, it is the only product that has ever kept my face and lips protected from the wind. I have sensitive skin and usually have to battle red, chapped and dried out skin when visiting cold, dry climates. I was so pleased after our recent ski trip, I came here to write a review about it and saw the post above about eczema, so tried it on a pesky patch of itchy eczema on my ring finger...it cleared it up in two days! I'd had this condition for 8 years, seen several dermatologists, applied steroids and other prescription creams to it and nothing worked like the Hero Stick. We love this stuff. My youngest has had eczema and I can't say weather or not it's healing it but it does seem to take the itch down. We also like it for my 3 year old who puts it on big bites and scratches. He likes that he can do it himself.

It's ok, for what it says. I originally bought this hoping it would replace my Davies Gates Boo Boo stick, so I think that's why I am not as satisfied. I did however use it on my daughter's face after she had a mild allergic reaction to some face paint & it worked! The next day no redness or bumps. I also used it on a scrape from when my daughter fell on the sidewalk and didn't heal as fast. Still 3 days later and look like its healing normally not any faster. ... show more

I LOVE this product. It's always in my purse. I call it our boo boo stick. My son had a rash all down his legs and this cleared it up in one day. I had a crazy rash one day and nothing would stop it. Then I tried this as it was gone! We use it for cuts and bug bites too.
