  • Seems like an awesome scope with one major drawback
I opened up my Amazon box after eagerly waiting for this thing. I open the black box the scope comes in. I see a cloudy plastic bag... A cloudy plastic bag? I open it. There's a scope inside completely covered in dust. There's also a split open silica gel packet inside. The silica powder was everywhere. On every single part of it, even on the lenses and under the lense protectors. I hate docking a star before I could even admire the beauty and function of this scope but seriously? I know for a fact there's better silica packets out there. ... show more

  • A great optic for the money. Amazon gets it wrong and provides no way to get it right.
This was mounted on an undisclosed rifle. I Set the windage at 25yrds then the elevations. then the same at 50 yards. I moved out to 100 and set zero there which was very minimal only elevation. I performed 3 shot groups at a challenge target.after I knew I had it set just right I used a diaper bag as a rest you can laugh it works for me and reminds me that Im getting old. I took my time. I aimed at 10 challenge targets on the same paper and my biggest group was 2.5 inches using Winchester white box. I was impressed. You do not need the lit reticle at extended ranges when light is available. The smaller the reticle the better. In a 1 power setting that is different story. So I moved the target back to 50 and to 25 and surprisingly I was in the circles some of them less than 6 inches all less than 2" groups. I went thru several boxes from the bench at a faster pace than went back out to 100 yards again and my results were the same 2.5 inch was the largest group. It held Zero like a champ. The turrets are very positive and the item is built very well. the mount is ridiculously well made as well. The Glass is Clear not Nightforce clear but clear all the way to the midrange price scopes $300 to $600 range. This scope is a multi purpose but not really made for precision work at real long distances its a 6 power. Its definitely for short and intermediate work I would say 400 yards with practice. You need much much better glass to go far and be consistent. As a hunting scope in shorter ranges I would feel super confident with this item. Ive owned many box store Tru Glow red dots over the years they hold zero and work. I would always get shunned by the snoots but I have a budget and do. what I can. This was a great I can optic, it held Zero after that long session. I did not drop it smack it around submerge it a swamp or toss it off the 5th floor of an apartment complex I wouldn't do that so I can't say that its made for anything other than civilian or maybe even LEO work. Its a great multi purpose scope for those on budget and don't mind that it has a tru glow moniker on the Base. Thats my complaint so far. Update took out to range last week and the windage adjustment had a lot of play before the actual clicking sound started that indicates that it’s holding position.. It worked but I am exchanging it.It really is that good. I won’t change the stars on the optic because I understand that these things happen. I am planning on more of these in the future. Again it’s that good for the money. I sent it back on 1/31/20. I tracked it, Proof that it was delivered back to them from UPS. Amazons response,.....nothing and no way to access return details makes me feel like I’m getting shafted which is probably the case. Amazon dropped the ball. I guess Bezos needed that money for his new girl friend, So as it looks no scope, no refund just a “we are waiting on your return” as a status for two weeks. It’s for sure lost in their warehouse. If your not going to exchange it send it back and I’ll send it to TruGlo myself. ... show more

  • Excellent LPVO for it's price
I'll start with, this is my first LPVO. I want to get into farther range shooting, but I wasn't sure if I would stick with it. So I thought buying a more affordable sight would be the smart play. This is excellent for a first buy. The magnification is harder to acquire at this price point. You get illuminated sights, green and red. A lever for your zoom adjustments, which is a separate purchase in many cases. A set of mounting rings, which is also a separate purchase in many cases. Locking adjustment turrets, and magnetic lense caps that have O-rings. If you want to try a scope out that's low power, but don't know if you'll like it? You'll be happy with this. The illumination knob has click points for adjusting brightness, making selecting brightness really nice. My reticle is different than what I've seen, the lines that are at the 2/4/8/10 o'Clock positions, so to speak, are much thinner than I've seen in reviews and videos. But I like it like this, less of the reticle covers your target, making it easier to concentrate on targets further out. I love the brightness, and the colors help with contrast A LOT. ... show more

  • MOUNT IS TERRIBLE
SCOPE SEEMS TO BE WELL MADE THE MIL DOT AND MOA THING IS A LITTLE SKETCHY ITS EITHER OR GUYS. BUT THE MOUNT IS TERRIBLE I ACTUALLY JUST ORDERED A BURRIS P.E.P.R. CANTILEVER MOUNT FOR IT TO REPLACE THE ONE IT CAME WITH, I DONT KNOW WHY THEY WOULD MAKE A DECENT SCOPE AND SELL IT WITH A GARBAGE MOUNT. JUST SELL THE SCOPE ALONE IF YOU CAN'T PACKAGE IT WITH A GOOD MOUNT. IT CHEAPENS THE DEAL TREMENDOUSLY. I WILL REVISIT THIS REVIEW AFTER I SHOOT IT THIS WEEKEND ON A PANTHER ARMS DP-10. OVERALL LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SCOPE WE WILL SEE... ... show more

  • Very high quality besides the illumination.
I’ll get the negatives out the way first, the illumination on this is atrocious. I can barely see the green and can see no red at all while outside and cloudy. (Yes I’ve tried different batteries) Now for the good parts, the throw lever is pretty easy to manipulate. The quality of the materials used seems to be great the finish looks good. (Was nervous due to the package being punctured when it arrived) The etched reticle makes it easier to see targets since the illumination barely is visible. Glass is very crisp until around 4/5 and gets pretty fuzzy at 6 but it’s not terrible. I’m using this on my .308 and it holds it zero after 50 rds and I’ve had no problems. The locking turrets have got to be my favorite part as well the pre calibrated distances. While I’d still say use a DOPE card it’s fairly on point. If you’re looking at getting an LPVO without throwing down 250+ definitely check this out. Edit: 4/25/23 After 1,300 or so rounds the spring from the front cover of the sight shot off as I was firing. Other than that it’s still holding zero and it’s doing pretty well for me. ... show more
