I have been a life long carhartt supporter. Started working construction at 14, I’m 32 now. Over the past few years I have felt the decline in their products. I bought a truewerk jacket after my coworker spoke highly of them. I can’t believe how amazing this jacket is, I live in the mountains in Colorado and work as an electrician. It’s been really cold lately and my carhartt jackets have been awful at keeping me warm. After wearing this jacket to work today I’m BLOWN AWAY at just how warm and comfortable this thing is. It has just the right amount of stretch that helps out a ton when I have my bags on.     • Warm. Almost too warm
I've always worn carhartt jackets. I work in construction and have worn carhartt jackets for 10 years. This season it started getting cold and I couldn't find my carhartt so I tried this one. It blows carhartt out of the water. It's warm, at 30 degrees ambient I can wear this and a t shirt and be comfortable. The vents are amazing. The pockets are great. The hood is great for when I have to wear a hard hat. I bought a size large, which is fairly big on me. I'm 5' 11", 165 lbs. Normally wear a large t shirt. My roommate who is 5'11" as well, 210, tried it and it fits him good as well. I probably could've gotten away with a medium but it's not too large. The bottom of the front is about even with middle of the zipper on my pants. If you've only ever worn carhartts I highly recommend trying this jacket. ... show more

    • Great coat, but...
My husband is big on researching things before he buys them. Living in Michigan, the winters here can be brutal, and working construction can be difficult to say the least. That's why he made sure to take a long hard look at work coats before he made an expensive purchase. The reviews we read said the coat was great, but every couple reviews said something negative about the zipper. Nothing specific, just that it was a bad zipper. Well, they are true. The zipper was difficult. Not specifically the zipper, but the way it seen around the zipper. There were places where the stitching was not straight causing fabric to stick out and stick the zipper. After messing with it for days he finally just trimmed the fabric where it was getting caught. Problem solved. Shouldn't have had to "trim" a brand new coat, though. Other than that, the coat is great. Wind proof, water resistant, super warm. He loves it, now. Best work coat he ever bought. ... show more

This has been one of the best coats for working outside. My 1st one I got when I was working on a solar out in the middle of the fields sown wind rain you name it. It's has vents if you get hot. It fits over your hard hats. I was working in -9°F without extra clothes just there T4 bibs to match. I didn't read before washing and lost its water proofing my mistake.
