I’ve had this mainly for muddling my old fashioned Demerara sugar cubes, but as warm weather hits I’m moving to fruit and leaf muddling. Anyway, it’s worked great, washes well. My first muddler had a stainless handle with hard plastic muddler end. The only problem was it was too short to get down to the bottom of my shaker and taller glasses so I purchased a similar muddler with a longer handle. The longer handle muddler allowed liquids into the handle and would leak where the handle and plastic muddler end came together. I didn't think was too sanitary. The wood muddler handle is plenty long enough and the handle is designed for both comfort and grip. I don't put this muddler in the dishwasher and only hand wash. The base of the muddler is serrated and not flat like some wooden muddlers. A must for anyone who enjoys making their own cocktails or a bartender. ... show more

Works perfectly. I mostly use it for Mojitos and does a great job at muddling mint leaves. Make sure to clean it up right after use. The surface is a bit tough to clean due to the sharp projections at the bottom but that's also why it does a good job.

I didn't expect much for $3.95, but this solid wood muddler surpassed expectation. It's the identical length and weight you would find in Williams Sonoma or Crate & Barrel for far more. I cant find any flaws with it.
