I purchased this TRQ front steering and suspension kit for my 2002 Toyota Tacoma after it failed a safety inspection due to worn-out ball joints. I’m installing the kit this week, and based on first impressions, everything looks very well built and complete. The components appear solid and should make a noticeable difference in tightening up the front end on my high-mileage truck (280,000+ miles). It’s nice having all the key parts in one kit instead of sourcing everything individually. Looking forward to getting it installed and restoring better steering feel and safety. This TRQ kit seemed like a really good deal for my 20 year old truck. The steering tie rods and the sway links went in great. Unfortunately for me, the lower ball joints (PSA66266 and PSA66265) did not fit. The ball joint rear cap stood an 1/8" taller than the OEM joints and they contacted the dust shroud of the 4WD CV axle at the steering knuckle. The ball joint would not seat flush to the knuckle. These should fit fine if you had a 2WD Sequoia/Tundra. I haven't done the uppers yet. Otherwise, all the TRQ parts appear to be quality material and finish with firm joints. All the joints were greased in the socket where you need it, but no zerc fittings (or plugs) for routine service. I'll never know if these are 190K mile ball joints like the OEM. I contacted AutoBuffy the next day on the phone and via email. They answered the phone and logged my issue. They were VERY responsive via email the same morning and started interactive coordination via the Amazon web site secure communication. My photos confirmed the problem for them. AutoBuffy researched the issue the next day, but were not able to find an alternative part to fit my VIN. They offered an acceptable solution for the problem the day after. This was a respectable solution considering that the issue was not caused by a failure on their part. Hopefully they can work with TRQ to update the part design to benefit others in the future. I'm stunned that this issue has not been found and documented already considering how many Sequoias and Tundras these parts apply to. AutoBuffy seems to be a new start company in 2019 in the on-line auto parts retail market. There's not much history to be found on the company, but their response to my situation was a pleasant surprise. They were very interested in making this right for me. Since they don't make the parts that they sell, what more can you ask of a retailer than to provide (presumed) quality parts and make satisfied customers when the unfortunate issue occurs? Three stars for TRQ and 5 stars to AutoBuffy. While posting this review today I saw that this kit was now offered by EXPRESSMERCH at a slightly different price. You can find AutoBuffy in the seller filter section on the left. I guess Amazon rotates visibility to various sellers offering the same products. Be careful of where your purchase is coming from before you hit the "BUY" button. Sorry about the pictures.
