My daughter is a beginner skater, and though doesn't play hockey, didn't want figure skates (I don't blame her... :) ) For a brand I hadn't heard of (I play), these are pretty good skates! My only complaint is that they came sharpened, but not really...I had to take them to my guy to get ALL the edges sharpened. But, relatively speaking, not a big deal! If ya want decent quality ice skates, you probably want a better name brand. Also ice skates are oddly sized.. not like shoe sizes. We returned.
