The media could not be loaded. This clamp is made primarily of a high density strong plastic, with stainless steel hardware. Overall it feels very strong and rigid. It has a lot of adjustability as you can rotate the 1" balls on both the hull attachment bracket and the clamp all over the place (but I wouldn't call it "telescopic"). The base has a three hole (120 degrees apart) as well as a "4 hole" (square) pattern, so may match your existing hole pattern, or you can pick one of the two patterns to use if mounting for the first time. The three parts (base, arm, gripper) could be separated and used independently with other 1-inch ball mounting system parts.
