  • Picture it....2021....
My daughter and I are big time Golden Girls fans and watch the show often. This game is fun for true fans. Other reviewers have mentioned that some of the questions are too nit picky....and sometimes that's true, but if you're a REAL GG fan, you might just know the answers. My beef is that some of the questions are repeated by rewording them. This game comes with just the cards and dice, no board, but you can use this with a Trivial Pursuit board. It's a fun trivia game. ... show more

  • Die hard golden girl fans.
My husband, mother in law, and myself watch golden girl reruns every night and often quote different things said from the show. Before we saw this we would argue as to who had more knowledge of the show. This was a lot of fun and had really great questions.

  • For serious GG fans only!
This is just a deck of cards and a dice. I guess I missed that in the description. But onto the questions. This is for pretty hardcore fans (which I definitely am). There are a few easy ones, like what was Blanche's husband's name, but mostly the questions are pretty tough, so I definitely got some wrong. The good thing is the questions focus exclusively on the show, like there are no questions like, who was the mayor of Miami when GG first aired? My cousin and I had a great time playing while playing our favorite episodes. And by the way, there are only 2 people in my life who are as crazy about the GG as I am, so the potential for playing with others is quite limited. ... show more

  • It's okay
This was a fun game we ordered, as most of us have watched Golden Girls. I think that it is more of a novelty item than a full-fledged Trivial Pursuit game that you may choose to revisit. Mainly, bringing it out when you have new friends over who think that they know about the show. There are a few things that stood out to me. We played it with a Trivial Pursuit board that we already have, as there is no board with this game and you can play it as a standalone, there is a die that you can role that will have you determine the color. If you play using a board, not all of the colors match up, as I think that there is no brown on the Golden Girls version. A few things about the questions. There is one category that is about people who have been dated, far and away, this is the hardest category, as it is asking for the specific names of many of Blanche’s dates. I think that the category would be better if it asked about context, such as occupation or mannerisms. Instead, it is almost impossible to know everyone who she has dated, even having just watched the entire series a few days prior to playing. The other categories are so-so, a lot of them are based on the context of the saying, so, if it is something sexual, it is probably going to be Blanche, whereas something flippant Dorothy, etc. In many ways, there are few surprises as to who said what, and we found that some who seldom watched the show were able to kind of guess based on just the stereotypical temperament of the character. I admit, it was fun, but then it quickly became played out when we realized we could in no way get all the random men from the series, but then it also became a bit played out as we realized that a lot of it then kind of became a stereotypical association of who said what. Again, I enjoy it, and will probably play again, but in case you’re looking something that is challenging or rewarding as a game it is a bit of feast or famine meaning its over the top hard or surprisingly easy. ... show more

  • Fun but hard
We love the Golden Girls. The trivia questions are harder than we thought but still fun. Other TV show trivia game we have goes off seasons, this one has different categories. Ask questions about who said what, Blanche's guys, and other categories.

  • Okay
My kids have become fans, so thought they would enjoy this game. I read mixed reviews on this, but decided to buy it despite mostly bad reviews. Having attempted to play it several times now, I have to agree with the reviews to NOT buy this game! It reeks of having been "thrown together" to make money for the makers, mostly focusing on specific names (first and last) of Blancehe's lovers, etc. That makes it waaaay to exacting to have any fun at it. Although we were just in the midst of watching a "golden girls" marathon, the 5 of us simply could not remember (or care about) specific names of so many men not even shown, only talked about, on the show. Would have been far more fun to have less cards, with more FUN content on the cards. So, we found the game a good idea, but bad carry-through. Also, like many reviews we found it more helpful to use the board out of our regular "trivial pursuit" game, as a lot of sense is left out of the concept of the game without the moving spaces, and such. This wasn't a big deal for us, but would be a big loss for players who don't have the original game with the board. ... show more
