Description

Triple 8’s Wristsaver Wrist Guards for Skateboarding is protective gear that provides wrist support and uncompromising wrist protection and are a great accessory to go with any Triple 8 helmet. The wrist savers let you skate hard and fall harder, offering suitable hand protection for skateboarding, roller skating, and snowboarding. Incorporating high-density, impact-resistant, replaceable ABS splints on the front and back for support, shock absorbing EVA foam for cushioning, and tough, 4-way stretch nylon mesh, the Wristsavers have a snug but comfortable fit. Available in two styles: the Wristsaver I: Strap Closure has a butterfly strap design with 3 hook-and-loop straps to customize fit, while the Wristsaver II: Slide On Sleeve has a nylon mesh sleeve and utilizes a single hook-and-loop strap for easy on-and-off. Available in four sizes to fit kids, youth, and adults: Junior fits 6–7 in (15.5 cm-18 cm), Small fits 7–8 in (18 cm-20.5 cm), Medium fits 8–9 in (20.5 cm–23 cm), Large fits 9–10 in (23 cm–25.5 cm). To determine proper size, measure hand circumference at the knuckles. Sold as a pair. Manufacturer's 180-day limited warranty.

I purchased the Wrist guards at the same time I bought an Onewheel. I'm very satisfied. I had read in the reviews that they ran a little small so I grabbed the Large size. I'm glad I did. I'm 5'9 with medium-sized hands and the Large fits perfectly. I've been using them for over a month and am extremely happy with the purchase. They are very well made (not cheap at all) and very durable. All the material and stitching are solid. Also, I really like the design of the splints which protect the wrist and palm. The palm sprint is slightly curved which makes me feel very secure. If I go down, I'm going to be very happy I'm wearing these. In regards to the "easy slip on and off", this is true. Essentially, you will need to loosen up the straps fully and then pull them on and off. Tighten them up again and boom - off ya go. Pretty simple. 5 Star product for the price and quality. No cons. --- Update 4/24/2021 --- It's been about 2 years now since I purchased these wristguards. After taking a few nasty falls, I stand by my 5-star rating. I highly recommend them. One fall, in particular, I was moving about 18 MPH on my OneWheel when the thing cut off for no reason.... (that's what I told my wife anyway...). Anyway, I was launched into the air and just couldn't get my feet under me in time. Luckily, I landed square on my knee pads and these Triple 8 Wristsaver II guards. Wow.... I slid about 5 feet on nasty asphalt. What should have been serious road rash or possibly worse, instead was just me jumping up and looking around to see if anyone saw my nasty spill. My son and I ride almost daily. On day of incident, I looked at wrist guards and thought to myself I wouldn’t need them since I was going to do an “easy” ride. I ordered a variety of wrist guards and these were far and away the most protective along with the Killer 187's. The "bump" of the guard is too big for my specific needs, which involve still be able to use ski poles and mountain bike handles, but for those not needing to grip anything these seem very protective and high quality. ... show more

A good product, at a good price. My son is 6 and skateboards like a maniac. For perspective, he recently dropped in on a 13 foot vert ramp (and landed the drop in as well as several big kick-turns). He has been using this brand of wrist-guards for about two years now (not one pair, we re-buy them when they wear out) and there is another brand we buy as well here and there depending on availability and need. These work perfect, he hasn't had any problems while wearing them. They last him about 3 - 4 months of regular 3-5 day a week use. For a child who uses them every now and then they could last much longer. I think my son tries a lot more 'crazy' tricks because his padding is so good (high quality knee/elbow pads, wrist guards, and a good fitting helmet), so for kids who want to try out ramps these are a must. I gave them a four because they always wear down in the same spot, the long middle strap that wraps around always wears away before the rest of the guard is too worn for use. Maybe the company can find a way to make this area more durable? Again, great product, price is right, I recommend them. ... show more

I've had both 187 Killer Pads wrist guards and Triple eight wrist.savers I and II. I think they are all great. I'm surprised when I see skaters in CA with no helmet or wrist gaurds. The new Triple Eight Wrist Saver II has a lot less stitched in padding and is less bulky than the others. It also has longer plastic splints on the front and the back than the 187's. I give them a thumbs way up! ... show more

They're light, the fit is awesome, the protection is good, BUT not durable, went down in the bowl at the local park and the right guard ripped apart. Should've got the leather one instead of mesh.
