It took around 3hrs for 2 people to assemble it. Its not fancy but a good value for the money. It also looks modern and has enough shelves and drawers to fit all the gadgets. I use it for work: 2 monitors/laptop and my personal apple destop computer and a laptop.

Very nice desk for the price. Wood pieces are MDF, not LDF like most flatpack furniture is. Wood pieces show no evidence of air pockets within, dense and solid. Steel frame is all pre-threaded with machine screws. Most of the wood had steel thread inserts already installed for machine screws. Makes for a sturdy desk. Dimensions shown are accurate to product, everything lined up well and went together with no issues. Arrived well packed with high density foam on ends and sides. (I'm 280lbs and can stand on the foam without it being crushed) Parts are individually wrapped or separated from one another with thin foam sheet. My cardboard box showed evidence of rough handling but I couldn't find a single blemish on the product itself. Overall I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a desk. Beats anything I've ever seen in the big blue retailer hands down. ... show more

Overall it’s a nice looking desk. Just as described. I was able to assemble it by myself; the process was very easy. I will say, the drawers don’t have a metal mechanism or slide- they are held by a bar that goes inside a groove in the side of the drawers. Within one day of receiving this desk, I requested a refund and a return. I took the desk apart, packaged it back in the box and went to different post offices to return it. Apparently you can return the items but you have to pay for shipping!!! Even on a damaged project. The cheapest shipping I could find was $193. Basically the cost of the desk. I’m not happy! Here’s why I was going to return this desk…. This is possibly the worst product I’ve ever purchased. The dollar store could sell a better quality desk. This was poorly designed, the two joints on the top part of the desk were not even so there was a lip. That’s because the metal frame were different heights and it couldn’t be fixed. The top corner was damaged and the very top drawer wouldn’t even shut! The piece of wood was cut too big and wouldn’t allow me to shut the drawer because it hit the frame metal deans! This was not a build issue because there are no brackets for the drawers. This couldn’t be fixed unless I cut down the drawer. This is a quality issue. The company charging me to return a damaged poorly designed item is unfair. I already bought a different desk (same price point) and it was a breeze to put together and the drawers actually use brackets. It was a much nicer quality. ... show more

I docked it one star for being slightly hard to assemble: there are a couple of parts that are easy to put in the wrong way, and the instructions aren't terribly clear about which is the right way; so you don't find out until things don't fit later, and you have to tediously unscrew and start over. Beyond that though, I'm quite happy with it. It's simple and sturdy. I see another review carping about the drawer handles being cheap, but I think the right term might be "minimalistic". They aren't going to break on you. Design-wise, a point to note is that there are no side panels enclosing the drawers, as you can tell in the photos. This doesn't bother me any, but it might look a little too unfinished in other situations. ... show more
