Just put this together today with my husband. Fairly easy to put together. I inventoried all the parts, then laid them out by the assembly steps. Hubby then put it together. About an hour and a half from start to finish. It arrived as stated and was packaged really well. The box is heavy to carry in. I think it is very pretty (as shown) and it seems very sturdy. The screwdriver and allen wrench needed to assemble comes with it and they even gave a few extra screws which is nice. ... show more

Great sturdy shelf ... Putting it together ... well its all pictures no explaination ... its kinda of a joke .. with no explaination you gotta get lucky to have the correct holes up on the correct side .. I mean no big deal but i had to stop and take a couple pieces apart and flip them .. sad actually ... but what you going to do ... right .. Its easy enough... but i also am pretty good at this stuff ..jack of all trades ... so if unfamilure with putting stuff together ...LOOK AT EACH PICTURE and where the HOLES ARE .. It'll go perfect .... As you can see its setup in my Sim room... its perfect and STURDY ... show more

I love the design of this console table. It’s the perfect size, very sturdy and the wood is the exact color I wanted. I would give this product 5 stars if it wasn’t for the assembly instructions. I am usually really good at putting furniture together (often get asked to help friends/family with it), but this was a struggle. Certain pieces need to go in a certain way but you can’t tell until your 1-4 steps down the line and realize it was put in backwards/upside down. If they added stickers to the wood boards indicating which way a piece needs to be put in there would be 0 confusion. Some of the pieces looked like they could go either way and the instructions did not show that 1) they can’t and 2) which side goes where and how to determine what side is what. Probably took me an hour and a half to two hours to assemble due to having to redo two sections. ... show more

The first page of instructions, about "cams" was confusing. SKIP THAT PAGE - Go directly to the page with Step 1 and proceed. I read the prior reviews and thought I was being super careful, but I still had to disassemble the bottom couple of pieces I had put together because the holes were not lining up. However, that was easy to do with the tools they provided. Once we had everything lined up, it went together beautifully. It weighs over 60 pounds, so it really does take two people to assemble. This is a solid piece and looks really nice for the price. I have another piece from this vendor and this one was much easier to assemble. You need to go slowly so you don't put pieces on backwards. So look ahead a couple steps when not sure. It would be much faster and easier with 2 people, but i was able to assemble it alone in 1-2 hours. Although there were some tricky moments of balancing things, so if you are unsure, have a friend to help. All the tools necessary are included if you don't want to mount it to the wall - that step would need a drill likely in most homes. They provide 1 extra screw of each type, so if you drop one and it rolls away, no worries. Have already gotten several compliments. definitely recommend. ... show more

The product materials were decent enough but the item as a whole shows little forethought or modern DIY thinking in the product. For example, at every step of the assembly process you are attaching bars to the product. Each bar has off-center holes in it meaning the direction the bar is facing and which side you put on top are of significant importance. If you get this wrong the holes simply will not line up. The problem is the instructions give you no indication as to which way the bars should be facing or which side is the top. The numbering stickers placed on some of the parts are placed randomly and also give no help as to which direction the individual bars should be facing. Several times during construction of the product I had to go backwards more than one or two steps and disassemble what I had just accomplished because one of the bars was placed with the wrong side on top and thus two or three steps later the holes did not align with the next step. Another example. Early in the assembly process before the structure is stable enough to be flipping upside down you are asked to put screws in bars and the screws go through the underside of the product. Although the toolkit came with a convenient hex or allen wrench these particular screws did not use those. So unless you had very strong hands you would not be able to tighten these screws properly and continue the process. However a few steps later very easily accessed screws with plenty of room around them do use the small convenient hex or allen wrench for no apparent reason. If you are accustomed to a modern design where the product is engineered to be easily assembled in a quality and sturdy fashion this is not the item for you. This reminds me of the low-cost do-it-yourself projects from the 90s that had no forethought incorporated into the product design and assembly. ... show more
