So I got this thing together, no thanks to the included instructions sheet - which is more like hints in the right direction than instructions. If you have put this sort of thing together in the past, you can probably figure it out. Do not use power tools to put this together - the pressed wood is not dense at all. I hand tightened everything until it was just "snug" and 2 barrel screws cracked the surrounding (luckily inside a drawer) "wood". The finish on the black metal components was even, but parts were scratched out of the bos, there are several metal blemishes that were mained over, but appears to be pretty sturdy when assembled. There is a ding in my drawer front on a corner with missing wood - luckily the only outer facing casualty, and it's small - so I guess I keep it. I mean taking it apart and trying to get it back in a box and shipped seems like a nightmare. Lastly, the drawer handles are black, unlike the picture provided in the listing (when I bought it, and now as I review it - they are brushed nickel looking). I had noticed this before I started assembly - but thought I could live with it but FYI if it matters to you. Update: the company that sold it contacted me saying too bad on the handle color, they work and would send a replacement part for the cracked pieces but never heard from them again. 2 stars going to 1..

Overall I’m happy with the shelf. It fits everything I needed it to. When it got shipped to me the box was in bad condition however all the parts were still there and there was minimal damage To the contents. The parts damaged weren’t noticeable enough to make the shelf look bad. The instructions are just pictures with letters and numbers referring to each part which I thought was pretty easy to follow but might be difficult for those that prefer written instructions. the shelf is Very sturdy despite the metal being rather lightweight. I’d say the quality is a little better than something I could get at ikea just because of how sturdy I the shelf is.

Ordered two of these. Looks nice. Unfortunately some of the hardware was stripped (one of the drawer handles) and had several dents on the tubing for the main frame. Can’t see it from all the way across the room......but it’s definitely noticeable. Disappointing considering the price. Wasn’t too difficult to put together. Looks nice (other than the dented frame) and is sturdy. Solid 3/5. Would give higher if it wasn’t damaged.

The instructions for this product are not well written. The diagrams were poor. We were able to figure out the basics, however part 2 was damaged as the connectors to 4 and 5 were too long and pushed through the shelf when we pushed it into place. Given that is visible, we'll either have to try to obtain or make a replacement or get rid of this. Such a hassle! In addition, metal frame was damaged (dented and scratched). It is in the back, so we were willing to put up with that. Otherwise it is okay. Wood grain isn't as nice as picture looked, and shelf bottom is flimsy, but we should have expected that for the price. Overall we are regretting this purchase.

I just received this file cabinet today and started putting it together. The instructions are somewhat incomplete, but I've put furniture together before, so I've been able to figure it out. However, both draw bottoms are completely MISSING (piece #10 in the instructions) from the package. I have contacted the seller and requested the drawer bottoms be shipped to me because I want the filing cabinet and do not want to mess with returning such a big heavy product. I will update my review once I get a reply from the seller and have experience with their customer service. Even without the drawer bottoms I can see that the drawers are not deep enough to hang a file folder, so I’m not sure why this is called a file cabinet. Photo shows how much of the folder sticks out.

This was easy to put together, though I made a couple of mistakes and had to disassemble what I'd done and start over. The styrofoam packing breaks apart easily, so be prepared for little pieces of foam everywhere. Love the metal stand so I can use magnets. Did have some trouble getting the drawers aligned so they would slide in. This is a sturdy bookcase, yet light enough to move. The 'feet' are made so that you can easily slide the furniture on carpeting. This was a great addition to my home office. It is a good looking piece of furniture.

1. The instructions are horribly oversimplified. I’m not one who needs a lot of detail but you have to look at step 4 or 5 in order to know what arrangement you need step 1 and 2 to be completed in. 2. The screws strip just from the screwdriver they provide, the metal tubes pop out from the secure points. Even if I had overnighted (and I didn’t) that should not have happened. This should indicate that the quality of the parts they provide is low grade.

Looks good in my room, the assembly instructions are not clear, if your used to putting furniture together you should be able to work it out. Although I am used to putting furniture together and due to the instructions I did not put the bottom draw part together correctly and could not unscrew things due to the type of material it’s made of so glad to have had some ingenuity and was able to figure out a “go-around” to make it work.
